  1. QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 01:47 AM) Did Jurassic JUST JUST miss that one??? No. He was talking about the play at first on the pick-off attempt.
  2. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 01:45 AM) Damn, that was close! Yes it was. And we finally get a chance to run against Wakefield, and Everett pops it up. I'm surprised Everett isn't swinging righty against him.
  3. QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 01:41 AM) Lets go Pods base hit and swipe a base! 2 straight two pitch ABs for Pods.
  4. Someone needs to put a charge into AJP.
  5. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 01:30 AM) Did you intentionally call him Urine? Yes
  6. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 01:27 AM) Does this really need answering fathom?? The one thing that bothers me about Ozzie's managing is he's to into the lefty-lefty, righty-righty crap no matter who's pitching or who's batting. Yeah, it's just stupid when the split stats tell you the opposite approach should be used.
  7. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 01:27 AM) If anyone needs to sit for awhile, it's Konerko. Now that Gload's here, we have a true 1B and another LH bat in the lineup. Hopefully, Dye will be back tomorrow, and Gload plays 1B. With our current lineup, we can't bench PK. He has 2 homers in his last 4 games, and is hitting the ball hard tonight. We can't have a lineup of guys like Gload, Urine, AJP, Harris, Crede. That's just not a dangerous lineup. At least PK will have the respect of the opposition.
  8. QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 01:26 AM) Good point fathom, Ozuna has good control of the bat. Harris just overmatched every time. Ozuna at least can get them jam shots for base hits! That's the thing, Ozuna has shown more ability to handle the bat this season than Willie ever has. For his speed, Willie doesn't get many infield singles. In comparison, Ozuna is leading the world in fewest feet per hit this season.
  9. The question I also have is this: With Wakefield being so much better against lefties than righties, why not play Ozuna at 2nd base tonight? I know it's not a big deal in the scheme of things, but you can tell Wakefield is much more hittable for righties. Widger should have been playing also.
  10. QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 01:22 AM) guess not, also known fact if u miss a game due to anything. Ozzie will not play u the next, heard that on the radio today! That's pathetic, considering Dye told Ozzie he wanted to play last night.
  11. Hawk yelling out stretch for a ball that barely gets to the warning track.
  12. Was Dye not available tonight? Cause Timo sure seems dangerous against Wakefield
  13. Great job by Jon holding them scoreless, and getting that momentum back. Ortiz scares the living s*** out of me though. How many deep flyouts can he have?
  14. QUOTE(Pasqua's Mailman @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 01:15 AM) I think much had to do with the fact that Timo Perez was in the on-deck circle... take a chance that Manny won't make the throw rather than Timo will get a hit. Which has the better odds? Honestly, the way Manny plays left... my money is on Paul scoring on that play (if I had a chose between the two of course). You do know he leads the league in assists this year.
  15. Please keep him in the park here. The one thing we can't have is the 3 run, 2 out, homer.
  16. Way to ruin our momentum Cora, you stupid dumbass. Garland has his work cut out for him to get out of this without allowing 2 more runs.
  17. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 01:10 AM) Cora 's been one of the better 3d base coaches. He's not going anywhere. Last year, he was good. This year, he's been reckless. You have slow as hell runners in Frank, PK, and AJP. STOP RUNNING INTO RALLY KILLING OUTS!
  18. According to someone in chat, Manny leads the league in assists. That's just f***ing terrible!
  19. What in the living f*** is Cora doing? That's just f***ing ignorant. Lets hear Hawk blow him some more. f*** YOU JOEY.
  20. I'm all for Rowand in the 2 hole the rest of the year. Put Iguchi in the 5 spot, and let him drive more runners in. Pods is fast enough to be able to get moved over on just about anything Rowand would put into play.
  21. So this is what a good lineup looks like? With this lineup, we couldn't afford to get behind.
  22. Wow, that's not predicatable we didn't have a hit through 3 innings. Hey KW, save our offense please!!!! Our 5-6-7-8-9 is the worst consecutive batters in a starting lineup this season in baseball, guaranteed.
  23. The offense isn't putting up a very good effort at the plate so far. AJP needs to get far away from the middle of the order, and go back towards the bottom where he belongs.
  24. Yuck. Wakefield looks like he's on his game.
  25. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 12:13 AM) Can anyone speak from experience? Steve Stone said in an earler ESPN broadcast (a Wakefield game) that it's easier to hit a knuckleballer from the right side -- and, Victor Martinez, a switch hitter, batted as a righty. I wonder, then, why so many lefties in the lineup...? Why not Ozuna at 2B instead of Harris? Yes, it's easier to hit knuckleballs as a righty. Roberto Alomar used to always hit Wakefield from the right side.
