That's twice they fouled Felix shooting a 3. Marquette down 5. Bama can't keep up with their guards right now.
-
Marquette looks a lot better in the second half. They've cut it to 6.
-
Jean Felix is really screwing up my day right now. He averages 8 a game, but he already has 17, including 5 3's.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 16, 2006 -> 03:24 PM) No offense 101 but I don't understand how Nevada is overrated? Virtually no one and I mean no one has them in the sweet 16. Simple, there's no way they should be a #5 seed. The team is extremely pedestrian outside of Fazekas. I don't really think their resume is as impressive as Wichita State's, which is 2 seeds lower.

Now it's really over. Monster dunk, followed by a turnover by Pacific.
-
Maraker and Webb are just playing out of their mind. Great game.
-
God, nothing but 3's right now.
-
BC fouls Marekar shooting a 3, hits them all. BC up 1, 40 seconds to go. Foul on BC, Hinnant hits them both. BC up 2, 38 seconds.

QUOTE(chimpy2121 @ Mar 16, 2006 -> 02:29 PM) I really wish they would put the BC game on but I'm stuck with the end of the Wichita/Seton blow out. The Mega-March Madness package kicks ass.
-
BC up 8 now, 13:30 to go. UW-Milwaukee pulling away from the Sooners, up 11with about 11 to go.
-
The zone has slowed down BC, but I don't think Pacific can withstand the pounding for the whole game.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Mar 16, 2006 -> 12:52 AM) His father and uncle (I believe) were also on the Cuban Nation Team. They're treated like kings in Cuba. He doesn't quite have the incentive to defect that some of the others have. I've heard he is one of the less likely ones to defect, but a guy can dream.
-
Pacific is up 2 right now. BC has gone cold after a start, and Pacific has shot a little better from the arc. Maraker is a pretty solid player.
-
IIRC Baez is the only one that ever defected at a game in the US, and Contreras is the only other one to defect at an exhibition or tournament. That said, I wouldn't mind getting a shot at Yulieski Gouriel. He'd look good in a Sox jersey.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 15, 2006 -> 07:58 PM) Wish I could make it. Got 2 midterms left for tomorrow. Finished up my last report just now though. Gotta do the school stuff. Ticks me off too, but leagues I'm in I miss the draft and I never miss drafts. Well, it's only the first year. Plus it's a lot easier to recover from a somewhat iffy draft in baseball than football. Edit- For a guy that wasn't there, you did pretty well. Thank the computer.

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 15, 2006 -> 10:42 AM) I'm confused. Someone posted an item here recently saying Logan actually pitched a few years AAA in another team's system, before going single-A here. Are we saying that writer was wrong? It's highly unlikely that a guy that is only 21 played even one year at AAA much less a couple. Even most of the top prospects don't do that.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Mar 15, 2006 -> 12:00 AM) ^^^ Did anybody watch spring training last year? The only thing I remember is having serious concerns about our pitching staff, because they were getting rocked. We all know how that turned out.
-
Spring Training numbers mean absolutely nothing. Relax.
-
Who do you think is going to be playing at B-ham?
ZoomSlowik replied to baseballgal32's topic in FutureSox Board
I'd guess that Sweeney and Fields probably start the year in AA, but maybe they decide to bump them up since they are two of our better prospects and they're both having a decent spring. -
If we're going with powerhouses that should rebound, how about Arizona? They shouldn't lose anyone to the pros, McClellan should be back and playing better, and they add an impact freshman in Chase Budinger. They also have a few other highly regarded recruits that didn't get much playing time, like Price, Onubon, and Tangara. Granted it doesn't look as good as Georgia Tech, but it still looks like a decent team.

I forgot a couple of other team that could be really good depending on who stays and who goes: Florida and LSU. All of Florida's important players are underclassmen, the only question is if Brewer, Noah, or Horford go pro. LSU loses Darrell Mitchell, but Tack Minor should be back from injury, and Dameon Mason is eligible as a transfer from Marquette. They could be pretty impressive if their big guys stick around.
-
I'd say 6, with video at least twice.
-
Just a quick reminder, the draft is tomorrow night (Wednesday) at 8:00. I really hope that everyone is there since it is a keeper league.
-
Add UCLA to the list of teams to watch for next year as well. The Bruins should be solid as long as Farmar and Afflalo stay and Shipp is back from injury. Texas might have to worry about guys leaving. Aldrige will definitely go high in the draft if he leaves, and although Gibson's stock has slipped, he still has a lot of talent. Tucker should definitely be back though, and Durant can play.
-
They've got a lot of guys that are out of eligibility on this OSU team, otherwise they might be the pre-season #1 going into next season. The only guys back are Lewis and Butler. That means Cook is probably another freshmen starter.
