  1. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 01:34 PM) Dats your boy. I still love him, he just needs to get his head out of his ass and realize he's playing for his final big contract.
  2. He didn't have a shot, his approach at the plate is just terrible right now.
  3. Good call by Razor on that one, no reason to force the issue with no outs. Cora would have been waving from the sound of the bat.
  4. Good to see Thome hustling on the play, seriously. A lot of guys on this team would have been dogging it down the line.
  5. Why doesn't he just change his f***ing number to 43?
  6. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 01:10 PM) Just thought of this. So far in this short season, Danks is the 2006 version of Vazquez. Pitched some good games but can't get any damn run support. That's the August/September version of Vazquez, he got more run support than any other pitcher in baseball in the first 4 months of the season last year and absolutely nothing for his run at the end of the year.
  7. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 01:04 PM) Weather in Chicago this weekkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk? High 50's, 60 on Tuesday. No precipitation.
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 01:00 PM) What's the weather looking like for tomorrow? High of 44, 19 MPH winds. Windy with periods of snow, accumulating an additional 1-3 inches
  9. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 12:51 PM) I wouldnt say BA would play better defense at this point. I think Erstad is getting the best jumps ive seen in a long time, and i think that hes playing almost GG caliber defense. I dont know if BA is any better at this point, in fact i dont think he is. He's still not at full speed, he's having trouble moving to his right into the short left center field gap. Other than that though he's been good but honestly, after that play he made in game 2 of the year I'm not ready to call him anything but above average.
  10. QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 12:50 PM) Think how long we had to wait for Jon Garland to become a better than average MLB pitcher. I'm still waiting.
  11. QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 12:48 PM) There were quite a few who wanted to give up on Jermaine Dye in April/May of 2005. Perhaps if Erstad had earned his job or didn't have a history of sucking (unlike Dye) I wouldn't have as much of a problem with it. And please never compare Erstad to Dye again.
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 12:46 PM) He'll be the Pods of this year when he can do absolutely horrible for a long stretch, but Ozzie still won't sit him. Do we really think he'll sit Erstad for Anderson? "Everyone talks about McCarthy Anderson. Last year we threw McCarthy played Anderson, and he wasn't too good either. OK? Check the records. Thank you. Everyone thinks McCarthy Anderson is god-damn Cy Young Babe Ruth."
  13. Alright seriously now. Erstad needs to mix it up a little bit, atleast ground out to 3rd every once in a while. f***.
  14. QUOTE(BearSox @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 12:38 PM) I missed it... Change up for the K? Change down below the knees.
  15. 5 ER allowed this year by John all coming via the HR. 3 allowed now.
  16. Off the top of the god damn wall. 4 runs allowed this year by Danks, all coming via the HR.
  17. QUOTE(beautox @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 12:27 PM) what ever happened to seeing who was in the thread at any given time? is there a way to turn that feature back on? No, you broke the f***ing board now you have to deal with the consequences, which means not knowing who's in a thread at any given time. Good work hippy.
  18. QUOTE(BearSox @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 12:22 PM) ? It seemed to me he got his foot out there far enough... did I miss something? Seriously, did I? The ump could have called it if he wanted, Danks stepped at about a 50 degree angle which is a balk.
  19. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 12:21 PM) Most of his moves are very close. All the best moves are.
  20. So how many times has Erstad grounded out weakly this year? 18? 19? It seems that's all he does.
  21. QUOTE(letsgoarow @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 12:21 AM) Erstad made a couple good catches today in center....and if i recall Brian looked awfull the other day at the plate. I do think we should bring him in for defense in the ninth for pods, but he looked lost at the plate. Darrin can work some walks, and plays great D. Nice win today though, the lead off man thing for the tribe sucked. I hate starting the inning like that. JD looks like hes back, as soon as paulie starts to hit we will be on fire. NICE WIN!!! and hey Johan lost at home for the first time since Aug 1st 2005 I know, we should definitely expect more from the Anderson in the 3 at bats he gets every week, I don't see reason why he shouldn't be sharp for that 1 start he gets every week. I do agree though, Erstad's 4 BB and .294 OBP this season are kicking some serious ass atop the order. Oh and he's obviously the best defensive centerfielder on the team, 12 years of wear and tear on his body and a few dozen surgeries aside.
