  1. Sox only 2 hits in 5 innings not helping the cause either.
  2. QUOTE (Nokona @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 03:14 PM) Bernstein on the Score saying the Guillens feel very, very hurt and were promised that Ozney would be taken between 10-15. If that is true I expect the whole scouting department to resign noboby in MLB wanted Ozney this year and probably last year, what makes KW and OG think White Sox organization owes there kids a payday. KW Jr probably would not of been drafted either by anyone else, If this BS crap did not exist.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 12:41 PM) http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2011/06/yank..._medium=twitter Shows how desperate Yankees are for pitching, good sign for a trade partner later.
  4. QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 08:15 AM) God I hate Oney Guillen. Seconded.
  5. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 07:28 AM) Ozney said he would sign unless the offer was ridiculous. They turned down 50k last year. I can't see a 30 + round draft pick getting 50k this year. Ozzie and Oney believe Ozney will be a star and should get preferential treatment because of his last name. Bingo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. QUOTE (Pale Sox @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 12:18 AM) Oney was drafted in 2007 in the 36th round and you didn't hear a peep from anybody. In fact, he signed on. In 2008 Ken Williams Jr. gets drafted 6th round, and signs on. In 2010 Oney Guillen gets drafted 22nd round, and the sky is falling. KW jr pick just burns my ass total bulls*** the 4th OF on his own team gets picked that high.
  7. QUOTE (danman31 @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 12:00 AM) It's also possible that Ozney is viewed as unsignable. Could be no one cares about a 1 trick pony!
  8. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 11:49 PM) I thought he was taken higher the past 2 times? Nope this is the highest he was picked!
  9. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 04:21 PM) seconded 3rd's
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 10:51 PM) Karma for the Guillen family. Good he had no business getting drafted that early last year. How do you feel now OG nobody else wanted your no talent hack kid earlier than last year.
  11. Yahoo Sports on Walker The Pick: Keenyn Walker, OF. The Buzz: If there was a more ho-hum day for any prospect, it was Walker, who has been drafted each of the last three years now. His stock has improved each time from the mid-30s, to mid-teens, and now into the sandwich picks. The Sox like his potential to be a top of the order hitter, but he has been slow to develop his batter's eye. The ceiling is fairly low for this pick and does not excite very much.
  12. Back to back quality wins. Humber continues to impress me. Let's get the
  13. QUOTE (soxsider11 @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 09:11 PM) Don't the yanks have another highend catching prospect? Yes Gary Sanchez ranked 25 best prospect in baseball. Statistically speaking: He didn't have enough at-bats to qualify, but if he had, Sanchez's .353 average in the Gulf Coast League would have been good for second in the league. He would have placed third in OBP (.419) and led the GCL with his .597 SLG.
