Sox Sign Jose Abreu - 6/$68 million
QUOTE (Baron @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 07:16 PM) I'm not 100 percent on this...but I think once you put your bids in then thats it. Seems to me Sox would just be bidding against themselves, because If someone really wanted him they would of outbid the Sox already.

QUOTE (flavum @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 03:49 PM) Getting excited about the prospect of 150 games of Abreu, Semien, and Avi Garcia. New blood. I am all for new blood...........anyone else think If we sign Abreu that Konerko is history no matter what he decides?

Sox Sign Jose Abreu - 6/$68 million
ESPN's Buster Olney reports that the Astros have fallen short in the bidding for Cuban first baseman Jose Abreu. Olney hears that the Astros bid between $50-60 million while indications are that the winning bid will be around $70 million. The Red Sox don't expect to sign Abreu, so unless there's a sleeper team in the mix, this leaves the White Sox as the likely favorites. Per Rotoworld

QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Oct 11, 2013 -> 11:08 AM) Last place team (0-5) made a trade with the first place team and a couple of owners are calling bulls***. This is a 2 QB otherwise traditional league. What do you guys think? Joe Flacco and Matt Forte (last place) for Josh Gordon, Alex Smith and Bilal Powell (first place) I do not see a issue with it.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 11, 2013 -> 10:06 AM) Peppers is either playing really hurt, doesn't feel like playing anymore, or just got old really fast. He isn't even getting doubled and his game stats aren't too much different from mine. His salary and cap number is way out of whack for his production.

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Oct 9, 2013 -> 12:28 PM) If anyone watches Hell on Wheels, did you think the finale was creepy, odd and somewhat uncomfortable. Also as SOA showed us, do not mess with the Irish Kings. Yes the finale was real strange and creepy the whole season was really not as good as season 1 and 2. I would not be surprised If it is cancelled. Rating were down this year going against college football.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 7, 2013 -> 10:38 PM) And how about Hogan in TNA? Apples to apples. You don't like trips, that's fine, but stop trying to make him out to be something different than ever other main eventer that wrestled for Vince. What? He is way different, he has power in WWE no wrestler has EVER had. HHH is VKM son in law and someday will run it with Stephanie, he basically runs it now. There is not one aspect HHH does not have his finger in backstage.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 7, 2013 -> 10:10 PM) Lmao at all of this. Hogan, Nash and Bischoff ran WCW for the entire length of the Monday night wars. He may not have had management in his job description, but he called the shots. Hogan was still a main eventer and leader of the NWO in WCW during MNW. HHH basically wants to be the focus of attention every Raw while wrestling a couple times a year. Time to let the younger guys shine. Apples and oranges.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 7, 2013 -> 09:57 PM) The best stars in wwe history were all spotlights hogs, what do you expect And trips has nothing on Hogan Hogan was not in management in real life, I agree Hogan was as a full time wrestler. HHH is a part timer at best he wants both worlds all about him all the time. Best HHH match ever was when he lost to Ultimate Warrior at WM in about 3 minutes.

So sick of Raw being about HHH at some point about every week. He is the biggest spotlight hog ever.
