  1. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 27, 2013 -> 04:03 PM) Do you understand news? It is news that he's going to need some time to decide his White Sox future. Don't you want to know the update? He said nothing that had not been reported earlier this is non news.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 27, 2013 -> 03:58 PM) Konerko said the only place he'd consider being a part-time player is with the White Sox. Yet he would want a full time player paycheck...................PASS.
  3. QUOTE (ChiSoxFan05 @ Sep 27, 2013 -> 03:55 PM) Can someone please tell me what happened? I've been in a meeting all day and I'm sneaking this under the table Nothing at all
  4. White Sox general manager Rick Hahn said Friday that the club will meet with Paul Konerko in two weeks to discuss his future. Previous reports indicated that Konerko could come to some sort of decision this weekend, but he apparently wants to hear the team's plan for the future before making it final. For what it's worth, Hahn said they plan to spend money to acquire an impact free agent this winter. Per Rotoworld
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 27, 2013 -> 03:32 PM) Why's it mixed signals? The rumors all week were that Konerko would meet with the media and tell them that he hadn't made up his mind yet. If that is the case no need to call a press conference to do that. He could say that with beat writers before or after game.
  6. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 27, 2013 -> 10:04 AM) Time to hang it up Paulie. It's been a good run. Hope that is the case.
  7. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 26, 2013 -> 10:12 PM) Speaking of Mo, I usually hate this kind of stuff, but this was pretty awesome. http://wapc.mlb.com/play/?c_id=nyy&con...130927_12433764 Thanks for posting that just a great moment for Mo.
  8. Happy 3rd pick day..................G. Holland's numbers as closer for Royals this year have been stellar.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 26, 2013 -> 03:55 PM) Awesome. Very cool of Girardi. I hope Yankees/Rays game is a blowout and MO gets to play CF in front on home fans late in the game. Mo deserves it.

  11. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 26, 2013 -> 03:56 PM) https://twitter.com/CST_soxvan/status/38333...4059904/photo/1 A win avoids 100 losses. A loss clinches the 3rd pick in the draft. Make it 100 losses and the 3rd pick Santa.
  12. According to CBS Sports' Jon Heyman, Robinson Cano has asked the Yankees for a $300 million contract .It's another strong indication that the impending free agent second baseman is headed to the open market. Cano won't come close to $300 million in the end, but the final sum to sign him might creep near $200 million. The 30-year-old Roc Nation client is batting .315/.384/.519 with 27 home runs and 106 RBI in 157 games this season. Per Rotoworld Good luck with that Cano.
  13. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 24, 2013 -> 02:46 PM) What a joke. Stolen from http://illiniboard.com/2013/09/24/penn-sta...nctions-lifted/ The NCAA is consistently inconsistent.
  14. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 25, 2013 -> 11:08 PM) Does Chet Lemon count? Chet Lemon, Eric Soderholm, Joe Crede, Bobby Jenks and of course RON (hit in on the roof, please) KITTLE Chet was a all star.
  15. Jerry Hairston Sr....................pinch hitting specialist.
  16. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Sep 25, 2013 -> 09:12 PM) I would love to see Tank leave his tank treads on another teams field next year. Sox have a bunch of retreads, I would like to see somewhere else in 2014.
  17. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 25, 2013 -> 08:56 PM) When the Sox lose 3 out of 4 this weekend, they can finish 63-99 wearing the 83 uniforms. They went 99-63 in '83. Sad
  18. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 25, 2013 -> 08:47 PM) A reliever who walks a lot is a bad idea. He is not the future agree.
  19. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 25, 2013 -> 08:30 PM) 2-17 in a season series. That's incredible. Coaching staff house cleaning should happen on those 19 games alone. De Aza K rate is beyond s***ty for a leadoff man.
  20. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 25, 2013 -> 08:21 PM) Last time Axelrod ever takes the field in a Sox uniform! If we are lucky.
  21. Axelrod opponents best friend.
  22. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 25, 2013 -> 08:43 AM) He's being offered Drew for those WRs. No to Drew.
  23. QUOTE (ChiSoxFan05 @ Sep 25, 2013 -> 09:22 AM) Will Floyd be re-signed? Completely forgot about him. Hell no!
  24. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Sep 24, 2013 -> 11:34 PM) Ok I have a fantasy trade question. I'm in a 12 team league, I'm stacked at WR with Calvin Johnson, Julio Jones, and Victor Cruz. I can play all 3 at once because of the Flex position and I have DeAndre Hopkins as my 4th WR. But I'm very weak at RB. I have Arian Foster and Rashard Mendenhall as my 2 running backs. Chris Ivory and Micheal Bush are now my only 2 backups. So I basically have nothing at the RB. So naturally someone who's heavy at RB and weak at WR approached me and gave me 3 trade possibilities. 1. Victor Cruz for Maurice Jones-Drew 2. Julio Jones for Maurice Jones-Drew 3. DeAndre Hopkins for Ben Tate. He also has Fred Jackson, CJ Spiller, Ryan Matthews and Ahmad Bradshaw for RB's. Think any of those 3 trades might be a good idea? Or asking for another RB instead? Help please! I'm 3-0 right now whereas he's 0-3 so he probably is pretty desperate. Trade Drew as fast as you can take the WR you like best from 1 and 2.
  25. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Sep 24, 2013 -> 09:18 PM) Jeff Passan ‏@JeffPassan 38s Jason Giambi is the oldest person ever to hit a walk-off home run at 42 years, 258 days. The previous oldest? Hank Aaron at 42 and 157. Expand Sox love to be part of history just the wrong side.
