Here comes the corpseball ending to a sure fire scoring opp. Thome Ks because he hits retarded against a lefty bouncing pitches in the dirt. -

DJ can stop will the bulls*** about guys being tired. Some of our guys are the most rested guys in all of baseball. Dye gets on, here comes the rally kill Thome and Konerko. Thome will pop up or dong. And Konerko will hit to the 6-4-3 double play. -

QUOTE(beautox @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 09:20 PM) whats this a base hit????? Too bad he cant do that when we really need it. He just needs to be down 7 or more runs to feel loose enough to swing away. -

Why is Pods still in this game. There is no reason that he is still in here. Then again he shouldnt of been in the the game the other night late when he was 0-3 with 3 Ks and he struck out so silly 2 times before with men on. Ozzies love of the leadoff hitter is almost as bad as his love of Timo. -

The fact that Anderson is in this game, and is not resting is proof that our manager has no clue. If he was not going to start, its no reason to put him in in a 7 nothing dog. Sweeney needs to get some reps in LF for prancer. Lets go Sweeney. Get into this game, start our O. Prancer and his .280OBP for the 2nd half is not going to do it. -

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 09:07 PM) Anderson coming up? A lefty pitcher is out there, So Mr Appendage aware had to make the change. If Anderson could come out in a 7-0 dog game, why didnt he start. Oh Cy Runnynose. -

Sweeney should be in left for prancer. And AJ needs to be benched for the rest of the game. Put Stewart in. Start pulling our guys who are half assing it. -

Can we have the first half AJ back. We have one guy hit the ball the other way, and he gets on. The rest pull it and are out. CY Runnynose keeps pitching us low and away. Why doesnt the guy with the video and pitching charts come down and say....Uh guys Runnynose is pretty much throwing you all low and away. You might want to think about that before you hit it to the SS again. -

QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 08:50 PM) HE'S NOT HURT. If he were hurt they wouldn't let him pitch. They've invested too much in him to allow this to get worse by throwing him out there every five days. Enough already. It's between his ears, he loses confidence. We should've traded for El Duque to keep him company and straighten him out. It is not his confidence. For years Jose has been an over the top pitcher only. Last year when El Duque showed up, he told Jose to pitch like a cuban which means add the other arm angle to make it harder to hit. This year he started out and was hitting 97 consistantly in a game in Texas when he dominated. Now check out his radar gun. His velocity is down. When Jose came in the league he was afraid of contact. He would throw his forkball only. Last year he threw his fastball first and then used his forkball for an out pitch. Now he cant get on top of his forkball because he is sailing it. When you throw side arm you have to follow through. If you stop shortly the ball sails. sliders flatten out, curves hang. -

Thank God Dye pulled the low and away breaking pitch to the SS. Because that approach is how good teams kill rallies. -

Hey, a guy cut down on his swing, put a low and away pitch the other way. And it wasnt a ground out to the SS and 3rd baseman. Maybe someone should video this, and tell our team that it does work. -

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 08:45 PM) I just want to say one thing for all of you saying Jose is still hurt. If he is hurt and the Sox are not putting him on the DL they are obviously one of the most ignorant, dumbass organizations in all of baseball. Why would we be sitting out there throwing out a piece of s*** pitcher (which is almost what Jose is right now) if we knew his struggles were do to an injury. Wouldn't we have thrown him on the DL weeks ago and given McCarthy a chance knowing that we could in time get Jose healthy and have him ready for the stretch run. I'm sorry, this injury claim really makes no sense cause I can't think (and I think Ozzie's a f***ing idiot) that Kenny would be dumb enough to do something like that. Farmer, Bill Melton, and others have stated that they believe that Jose is hurt. Also Steve Stone stated that him dropping down could take pressure off of his back. He hasnt been the same since he had the siatica. He had a epidural. Maybe it still bothers him. Why all of a sudden woudl a pitcher drop down all the time to righties. If he is healthy dont you think Cooper would of consulted video and just had him stay high. I think his back is bothering him. -

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 08:43 PM) Really wahts it matter. Its not like he's throwing a gazillion pitches. We are gonna lose either way, so who cares. Jose had yet another worthless start too. Jas if he is hurt, what is the point of having a hurt pitcher throw more pitches. You know what happens when a pitcher gets hurt outside of his arm. They f*** up their mechanics, and then compensate to make the pain go away, like Jose's sidearm. And what usually is the outcome of a pitcher going out of their mechanics. Surgery for their shoulder or elbow. QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 08:43 PM) I wish if he's really hurt we just put him on the DL. Get rid of him til next year. If he's on the staff he's got to be able to go 5 innings or 6. I mean my god, is five innings too much to ask. He can go 5 innings. It just how many touchdowns do you want your offense to come back from. -

QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 08:41 PM) I hope you aren't suggesting we have a good bullpen. Maybe we should just forfeit then. I mean if you are suggesting we cant pull our 7 run hurt pitcher because of fear of the pen, maybe we should just quit, and go home. -

How many runs can Count give up before Ozzie gets a clue, stops whatever he is doing besides managing, and pulls the sidearm count. -

QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 08:35 PM) You'd think it was Cy Young with the way they have been getting dominated. The Joe Mays formula for shutting down corpseball lead teams. Throw a fastball down low and away, repeat for until you get to 2 strikes. Then bounce something into the other batters box and let the magic happen. You know for as much as Walker and his cohorts talk about hitting the ball to all fields, every single year with different players we see the same exact approach. Thank God we locked up our coaching staff for years to come. We can get Joey waving everyone and their brother around 3rd, and we can start to see teams employ the shift on every hitter to shut us down. The only guys who are attempting to hit it the other way. Brian, Dye and Crede. Guys who are pretty much pull only AJ and Kong -

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 08:31 PM) Its pretty funny that the White Sox approach gets ripped, but when the swing for the fences and it works its considered a great at bat. Its maddening when we have men in scoring position, where all we need is a single up the middle or a duck snort and we have 3 guys trying to hit the dan ryan, falling over and King or doing the corpseball crap. Pods is worthless. He is this years Timo. -

QUOTE(CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 08:29 PM) It was a gapper pure and simple sharply hit . Assuming BA starts in the same position as Mac theres no way he gets it. Sure because Anderson never has caught a liner in the gap. Never this year. Another thing, Anderson positions himself a hell of a lot better. And has natural instincts off the crack of the bat. -

QUOTE(shoota @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 08:26 PM) I'm guessing he's not healthy. I'm ready to DL him and put McCarthy in his starting spot. This team needs a healthy Contreras and Thome to win another title. Contereras's arm would literally need to fall off before Ozzie puts bmac in the rotation. Ozzie puts Cotts in based on last year, and he keeps Contreras in based on last year. He keeps peter pan in based on last year. On any other team, Cotts is in AAA, Contreras was on the DL about a month ago, and peter pan is a utility guy. -

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 08:25 PM) Hey, the Yankees are beating the Twins almost this badly. yay! Another day of 1/2 game in front of the wild card. I wonder if the A's can catch us. But we are playing the worst team in the AL and they are playing the best. Technically this is when we should be putting some space between us. -

QUOTE(CWSOX45 @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 08:22 PM) Wow. This is pure dogs***. I am so f***in pissed that Kansas City continues to beat us around. Was that shot to centerfield catchable? Or did Mack just f*** it up as usual? We need to have our f***ing starters in every game from here on out. God dammit Ozzie. Cintron and Mackowiak should not be playing. Mack took his end around route to it. Anderson plays liners to the gap so well, I have to believe he would of been there. -

PFB talks about confidence in the post game show, and now Hawk is talking about intesity. Do they get together before the game, and go over the homer report.
