QUOTE(SoCalSouthSider59 @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 11:14 PM) Tsk, Tsk........ ? ?

QUOTE(Dan @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 11:11 PM) who's worse, Rongey or PFB as you guys call him, the Farmer/Singleton connection or flat out DJ being himself? PFB wins for his stupid silly comments.

QUOTE(Steff @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 11:07 PM) I honestly don't know how you guys can listen. Well.. I know 71 does it to try to get on and make him look like an ass. Steff I listen now just to hear the callers call in. The season ticket holders especially the older ones that call in are the best. They tear into PFB right away.

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 11:05 PM) I only hear him about once every two weeks, but every single potentially negative question is turned into a "matter of confidence for the player, and that's the only way he's going to overcome it and produce the rest of the season". When Ozzie plays Mackowiak in Game 160 vs the Twins, I wonder if he'll still say the same reason. Greg Walker and PFB have restraining orders against you. Its not Greg on his own. Its a a hiting philosophy we have had since 2000. We have fired guys, and have hired their apprentices in the minors who preach the same thing and then are shocked that nothing has changed. For years the same exact hole in every hitter that has come through our organization is still there. When they fire coaches, they should go outside of the organization. Hiring Walker was just putting a different physical mug on the same batting coach they just fired.

QUOTE(Steff @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 11:03 PM) Someone call and ask him to pass the pipe. I havent made it past the screener on 2 ocassions. LOL

Now according to PFB, the sox team is just a playoff team. They play crappy in the regular season, and just switch flip they will become world beaters.
-
QUOTE(Steff @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 10:55 PM) I do believe he has a script to read from. He just repeats the same crapola after every game regardless of the outcome. He's a Craftsman product of the finest quality. Steff Brian Dolgin was a homer, but this guy takes the cake.

QUOTE(Dan @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 10:54 PM) ok im lost wtf is PFB This should explain it. Pink Fuzzy Bunny

Someone calls ups and says that Pods lost some steps. PFB says no, its not that its that he doesnt get on base. PFB do you even watch the games.

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 10:40 PM) Since the ASB, how many games better are the Sox than the Royals? Someone needs to ask Ozzie in the postgame., Ozzie what exactly are you resting your starters for, Venezuelean winter league? QUOTE(Dan @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 10:40 PM) hey the sonuvab**** has given me some $50 gift certificates before so hes ok in my book! That means you either puzzled him with a question, or you agreed with him. Its his distraction for someone asking him a question that he doesnt want to answer. Or its a reward for agreeing with him. Point on, some caller just asked why Mack is out in CF, PFB gave him the Skype caller of the show, and then want on another tangent that wasnt part of the original question. I think he studies Tai Chi, because he loves to misdirect direct action.

QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 10:20 PM) Schilling will miss his start Monday vs the Sox, and Papelbon left in the 9th tonight due to a shoulder injury. Ortiz will be back but also no Jon Lester We cant beat Runnynose Hernadez. You can spin the poop as much as you want, it still smells. If we cant beat the Royals, I dont feel good against a team that it took 19 innings to avoid a sweep at home to. I dont care how bad they are playing.

QUOTE(shoota @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 10:36 PM) PFB JUST GOT OWNED BY A DOCTOR ON THE POSTGAME SHOW. Caller: Contreras has an injured back and he's dropping down because it relieves tension on his lower back. PFB: I imagine dropping down causes more pain on his back than throwing over-the-top. Caller: NOPE. NOPE. PFB: What? What are you, a doctor? Caller: Yes, actually I am. Throwing over-the-top causes more torque on the lower back than dropping down. LOL

Record in our division. Last year we beat the living crap out of our division. This year, we are barely above 500. We are barely above 500 against the royals for the love of god.
-
PFB is showing that he is not smart. PFB doesnt realize that dropping down helps with pressure on the back. He thinks that Contreras is just going through a rough patch here. Rongey =

QUOTE(Dan @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 10:31 PM) no thats not what im saying. hell i am the President, Chairman and CEO of Ross Gload Enterprises and Fan Club, but it just seems to me that all of the sudden people are showing an awful lot of interest inn G-LOAD hence my bandwagon comment. I am for anything but Prancer out in LF. Whether thats Gload, Sweeney, or Mack or Ozuna. Anything but Prancer.

QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 10:25 PM) Pods changes the game when he gets on base. That's the way I see it. Those other guys dont. Pods cant beat out hits in the hole. Last year, he beats out anything hit in the hole to the left side in the hole. Pods the distruptor, doesnt exist anymore. he doesnt steal, he doesnt get on, he doesnt do anything.
-
QUOTE(Dan @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 10:27 PM) i smell people trying to hop on the Ross Gload bandwagon train and i don't like it! What dod you suggest Dan. .224BA, and a .287OBP. in the 2nd half. He is getting worse. He doesnt get on, he doesnt steal, he doesnt play good D, and he has a bad arm. He is what he is, and that is not good. Starting him everyday is pretty much not a good idea.
-
QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 10:22 PM) Cmon. Ross Gload is not better than Pods. Pods ain't producing s***. Is that Oz's fault?? 2nd half stats. I am sorry, Scott is hitting .224 with a .287 OBP. Ross is hitting .333 with a .394 OBP . What does Pods do better again. Besides Marry.
-
QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 10:20 PM) Like what, Fathom? Crede pops up to end the game. If he hits a liner in the rc gap, we win the game. Like leaving Jose in too long? Jose is a starter on a big league team. He has to go more than 4 innings and errors contributed to Jose's s***tiness too. Playing Pods? Pods is the best we got in that option. Oz is playing the personnel KW gives him. You guys act like he's playing Pods over A-Rod or Soriano. Pods is batitng .230 with a .280 OBP in the 2nd half. If you say thats our best, I suggest you check the stats out a bit more.

QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 10:19 PM) I understand, but the difference was in 2005, we did not rely on the home run. Getting Thome was supposed to add power to the lineup, but still keep the speed. This team was supposed to be the 2000-04 hitting, plus the 2005 pitching. To me, it's just been a better version of the 2000-04 teams. If we had this kind of pitching last year, to go w/ the offense we had last year, we'd be prolly 20 games worse than we are. Yes we did rely on the home run. Do you remember our offense last year. It was terrible. We won a bunch of games because our pitching was tits. The only reason our O did anything in the playoffs was because guys stopped lifting and pulling. Paulie was a line drive machine in the playoffs. How many of his homers were gap to gap dongs. Instead of pull shots only.
-
For a manager who preaches pitching and defense. Why in the name of god does Cintron and Mack start a game. Especially together.
-
QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 10:14 PM) f***!! Whatever happened to not swinging for the fences!!?? They need to change that grinder ball rule that says never underestimate the power of power. It's got the power to destroy what the grinder ball was built on: The power of no power Walker doesnt preach grinder ball. 200 home runs for the last 7 years. He and our organization have preached lift and pull. We fired previous hitting instructors, and then promoted from within where we preach the same mentality. It pretty much explains why every single hitter comes up with the same exact swing, and same exact hole low and away. Watch how every team pitches us. What how the catcher sets up. Its pretty much low and away all the time. This is the same exact offensive slump we see every single year.

Joe trys to win it with one swing, just like all of our batters. And we lose. Nice f***ing offensive approach. I have had enough with Walker. Same thing year in and year out. Same pull only mentality. Different players. -

They are setting up low and away. I wonder why.
