  1. My wife has family in Palm Desert, Ca. I'm not sure why they didn't just build that city on the sun. We made the mistake of going there in late July early August one year. They get the meanest, most relentless, opressive sun ever. At 7:00 am it was 101 degrees and topped out at 128 one day!!
  2. I'm at work til 2:00, then it's off to Cali. for the weekend. 'Game of Shadows" is my in flight literature.
  3. It took a lot for Garland to convince me that he had the stones to pitch in the big leagues. It's going to take a lot more than two starts for me to start questioning his abilitlies again.
  4. Check out #24. 24??!!
  5. I'll take it, let's take 6 of the next 9 at home.

  10. Has DJ dropped "Yuh-oh, bye bye" yet?
  11. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 02:00 PM) Alright BMAC lets shut these guys down. hell yeah, let's win this s***.
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 01:58 PM) Garland's not some rookie. He proved last year that he can compete at the MLB level. However, you're doing your team a disservice by keeping him in the game when it's obvious that he has nothing in the tank TODAY! If he proved he can compete at the major league level, why the eff would you pull him with an 8 run lead?
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 01:51 PM) We have plenty of people ready in the pen today. And this is almost deja vu from Garland's first outing. So you give up on a guy after 1 1/2 starts? ? This is Ozzie's style: here's the ball, you get yourself in a mess, you're gonna have to pitch out of it, I'm not bailing your ass out, now go get it done, I'll be in the dugout, see you in the 9th.
  14. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 01:48 PM) Wtf does Ozzie wait so long to pull a guy who doesn't have it? He had an 8 run lead and he's trying to save the pen. You'd think Jon could hold it.
  15. QUOTE(rudylaw @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 01:45 PM) People keep talking about how they are concerned with Jenks, I am a hell of a lot more concerned with Jon. 2 starts 20 hits. I hope last year was not a fluke. Coop has to take some film apart and fix Jon.
  16. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 01:27 PM) You just realized this? He's a jerk.
  17. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 01:25 PM) Farmer is a dolt. You're finally on board with that?
  18. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 01:20 PM) Bean Shelton next time. Thome needs to hit another homerun today. you MUST buzz him his next time up.
