  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 05:26 PM) I usually saw Fred Davis from USC. Him, Keller, and Carlson -- but I'm sure Keller was on the top of a bunch of te lists. He beat the hell out of the combine.
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 05:23 PM) So the Jesters trade up to get a guy who seems like he wasn't even the top TE on the board? He was the top TE on most of the boards I saw.
  3. QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 05:19 PM) Well if he drops to whenever our next pick is, then yes I'd be pretty happy but I'd like to get Fred Davis and Godfrey. Yeah...see...I just kinda want to see you go ballistic... Yeah, so that trade kinda bummed me.
  4. QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 05:17 PM) Thank god, didn't want Flowers. Thank you Jets, hopefully got some nice picks out of it. Hey, he could drop. Gotta look at the bright side.
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 05:05 PM) No. I'm thinking Manningham is not even in my top 5 WR's. In no particular order for the top 3, Sweed, Thomas, Jackson, probably followed by Kelly and Hardy. Kelly drops a bit for a slow 40 time, but the other 3 could have all gone between 10-20 if a team needed a WR. The Bills passed on a WR in round 1 to fill another need, and it looks like they'll still have their pick of the guys they could have drafted in the first. K. Just making sure... So who is this year's Dwayne Bowe?..........
  6. I'm tired of these damn trades already. My head's swimming.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 05:01 PM) AT this point, no. There's still 4 potential 1st round WR's on the board right now, and they've all dropped. I think 1 of these 4 might well be on the board when the Bears pick Tell me you're not counting Manningham in that number.
  8. Dwayne Brown -- guy I basically only heard of in the last week. That's a sleeping sleeper, there.
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 04:59 PM) So you trade for pacman and draft another CB? What the deuce are you thinking? Maybe...Holy s***!, does our secondary still SUCK!
  10. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 04:49 PM) They lost Chris Brown, they have this dude name Chris Henry too. Sure they could use a running back probably, but I was meaning compared to a wide receiever and other positions, they didn't need a running back. Henry was a 2nd round pick just last year. Awful quick to write him off, but okay...
  11. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 04:02 PM) I think Flacco is going to be a good QB for Baltimore. I think he better be.
  12. QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 03:50 PM) Heh, there goes one of the guys I wanted packers to take. They're taking Flowers. I have an inside source. It's Flowers.
  13. QUOTE (jackie hayes @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 03:27 PM) I'd guess Williams, but I'll be pretty happy with any of the candidates. "jackie, you are a god", "jackie, I'm naming my first child jackie as a monument to your brilliance", "I weep when I compare myself to jackie hayes" -- these are all acceptable.
  14. I'd guess Williams, but I'll be pretty happy with any of the candidates.
  15. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 02:42 PM) I like the team my Raiders are building. A lot of good, young talent. And if they can play 3 rb sets, it should pay off handsomely.
  16. Rotoworld saying the Rams are going to take Chris Long. Why put that out there? If the Falcons want Dorsey as badly as they seem to (and they don't seem to have much use for Long), why not put it out there that you're taking Dorsey? At least then there's the chance the Falcons come knocking, and you still get your guy at 3.
  17. QUOTE (DBAH0 @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 11:28 PM) Massive risk, but we have argubly the best off the field program to keep people like him in line e.g TO and Tank Johnson. Having a CB group of Jones (if re-instated), Newman, Henry and probably a 1st round choice in Talib or Cason is going to be pretty good. How in the world are TO and Tank Johnson similar?
  18. I understand, but only up to a point. Of course people shouldn't be fighting, etc, but if you expect to avoid cursing then you should just steer clear of ballparks. One of my vividest memories of old Comiskey was a fat, drunk f*** who repeatedly dropped his lit ciggy on my shiny little Sox jacket while cursing like a sailor. It's nothing new, it's always been that way.
  19. Liriano was optioned to AAA. The only sensible move.
  20. QUOTE (Texsox @ Apr 25, 2008 -> 03:05 PM) If their liquor license works like a store, restaurant, bar, etc. they could have it suspended or revoked. No big deal. IIRC some team did have it yanked for a game a few years back. This is more about tailgating, though, not beer that Sox vendors sold to kids.
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 25, 2008 -> 08:01 AM) What does his velocity look like, and are they letting him throw the slider? I didn't see him yesterday, and he was only in for two outs, so not many people did. When I watched his previous two outings, iirc, his velocity was so-so, low 90s generally. One report of yesterday: "Liriano threw 35 pitches, but only 15 were strikes. His fastball began in the high 80s, gradually approached the mid-90s several batters into the game, and rarely approached the plate." They are letting him throw a slider, but it sure as hell ain't THE slider. Not yet, anyway.
  22. The NYT states the obvious. Everyone's lying about taxes: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/24/opinion/24thu1.html
