I know that was the case last year but was unaware that he hurt himself this year

I knew that they were high on him but for some reason I thought he fell out of favor (hence the declining number of AB's over the past 3 years). Eitherway -- I'm lovin the fact that he lit up Prior on a day where Jesus of the north side is virtually untouchable

Liking the idea even more when I notice that his salary this year is a paltry 400K and he is in no position to ask for more after this year

And am starting to like the idea of the Sox getting Austin Kearns. I have no idea what his contract situation is like but he is proving to be a Cub killer and had decent #'s across the board a few years back when he got consistent AB's :fthecubs

The question here really is what we can get for him -- I wish there were some rumors

Cruz has been on my wish list since he went 0-8 with a sub 3 era with the Cubs -- the kid has loads of talent and could possibly take over a back end of the rotation spot (Message to Judy). Still dont like the idea of Gload at 1st everyday though. I am not too familiar with our system -- do we have any legit 1B prospects that would be able to contribute next year?
