The first half of the WOTW was pretty good -- atleast entertaining -- but the 2nd half was absolutely horrible -- I honestly could not believe that it was one of the highest grossing movies of '05 -- don't people talk anymore?

I'm just wondering why the f*** I am at work today......

I am questioning the best GM in baseball LAST YEAR. You are right about taking a drink and chilling -- All of my minor league knowledge comes from this board -- Hopefully some of your assesments of Gio and Daniel were incorrect. Cheers!
-
Its not really the loss of AROW that irks me -- its the loss of, arguably, 2 of our most talented minor league pitching prospects. That being said, I don't really think that Anderson can, or will, live up to AROW's production -- offensivly or defensively. Mind you -- I'm not a huge officianado of our minor league syster.

After last year -- I trust KW as well but this trade reeks of trades/signings that we made in the past to build our team around "mashers." We finally found the winning formula and we are reverting to the ideas of yore. As my 7th grade history teacher once said "History is tought so the future can learn from past mistakes" I personally think this is a HUGE mistake. I hope I am wrong.
-
Dont get me wrong -- he just doesnt seem to fit into our championship style of play in my mind. I thought that we were building around pitching and defense -- which we gave up an assload of in this trade. I may be a bit partial -- I personally thought that Gio was the future stud of our rotation.
-
Prdon my naiveity but doesnt anyone care that we gave up Haigwood and Gio? Am I missing something here?

Per the WS Website: "Can fans tailgate before White Sox games? Tailgating is allowed and encouraged in White Sox parking lots A-F before every home game until game time. Parking lots open two hours prior to game time. Please use personal-size grills and bring one gallon of water to extinguish the coals. In order to maintain a family atmosphere, kegs are not permitted in the lots." Now -- my question is -- Will non ticket holders be allowed to remain in the parking lot -- boozin it up -- for the duration of the game?
-
It would be legal even if you are not a ticket holder?
-
Anyone in Chi want to tailgate? Would it even be legal?

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 10:06 AM) Get burned once or twice (in selling or buying) and the addiction easily curbs itself. I suppose this is true but I haven't been burned as of yet -- knock on wood. How effective do you find the ratings?

E-Bay is seriously f***ing addictive

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 09:13 AM) I feel really bad for the sales people and the commission people. They are the ones who are up creek without a paddle right now. That statement hits really close to home -- I almost took a job with them (Well -- technically Lind Waldock) about a year ago but ultimately passed it up because the base salary just wasn't enough -- the potential to make a boat load of money was there but I couldn't take the gamble at the time. It is actually pretty scary that 1 person can have such a huge impact on such a huge company -- reminds me a little bit of the Nick Leeson fiasco (though on a lesser scale)
