  1. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ May 7, 2016 -> 04:56 PM) When did Gonzalez last pitch? Might make sense to let him face the Twins at home Sunday and let Q have the Rangers on the road Monday. I think that call is up to Ventura and Cooper. LOL You don't start messing with the staff over the fifth starter. I just want to see one of these guys succeed
  2. Latos struggling. Defense has kept him in it plus some timely hitting for a change
  3. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 6, 2016 -> 08:05 PM) Uh, this isn't for a rotation spot so I dont know why the comparison to Gonzalez and Johnson. This is for the bullpen. Caroll was a very effective longman last year for us. It's the right call. Why would you say this isn't a spot for the rotation? We will need a fifth starter in 4 days. We have Kahnle up to fill in for the injured reliever Petricka. Carroll might helpin long releif but who pitches in 4 days? My guess is Carroll. Do you have other info?
  4. Interesting choice
  5. Hoping for a great Sunday day game offensive outburst from the Southside Hitmen
  6. Let's get back to winning
  7. The White Sox are in first place 4 games up on their nearest rivals. We will find a fifth starter. I think the Lincecum tryout will be interesting. Tim had hip problems last year and not arm problems if I remember right. I am sure the Sox will make an effort to sign him, if he looks ok.Whoever gets the fifth spot it will be interesting, but I see a starter being added and not another relief pitcher
  8. Walks are not a good thing esp when they come around to score
  9. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 6, 2016 -> 03:12 AM) MY GUY Jennings with yet another scoreless inning, haters. I knew he would get out of it all along
  10. Leadoff walk follows by another. Jennings needs to quit screwing around.
  11. Bottom line us we need our offense tivstart hitting on all cylinders
  12. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 6, 2016 -> 02:40 AM) If he slides head first he was in there rather easily. 2 times we have had the bases loaded with 1 out... We have scored 1 run Beg to differ on the slide. Nothing wrong with at slide
  13. I think this play is one you can chalk up to the home plate fiasco rulings from last year when the catchers got in trouble for blocking the plate . Plus as usual we just miss by TGAT much
  14. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 6, 2016 -> 01:59 AM) Abreu has been trash tonight.. Take a strike Jose looks sad tonite. Hope he has another RBI chance tonite and things ight be different
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 6, 2016 -> 01:46 AM) That got out of here QUICK. 113 MPH exit speed
  16. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 6, 2016 -> 01:42 AM) Only 90+ pitches to get 10 outs. That's pretty amazing...not sure if it's from a negative or positive standpoint, though. I guess since he hAd only allowed four runs so far it's all good if the offense could show up. But. Jacob Turner is waiting in the wings
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ May 6, 2016 -> 01:38 AM) Johnson blazing that fastball at 89. Almost all the damage on that pitch tonight High level, lowspeed hittable fastball
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 6, 2016 -> 01:34 AM) That bad first strike call set up both Abreu's and Lawries ABs to expand their zones Agreed. It's like the ump is willing him strikes
  19. Bases loaded on walks and we can't get a big hit when needed
