Miguel Gonzalez will start on Monday for the #WhiteSox.

Welcome back Miguel. Sorry about your Face.

He can wear 50 now if he wants. ;)

When did Gonzalez last pitch? Might make sense to let him face the Twins at home Sunday and let Q have the Rangers on the road Monday.

I think that call is up to Ventura and Cooper. LOL You don't start messing with the staff over the fifth starter. I just want to see one of these guys succeed

Johnson pitched on Thursday, so the 5th starter spot should be on Tuesday. They are already messing with the rotation because of the 5th starter

It's kind of annoying that after 33 games our fifth starter will have already pitched 7 times.

It will still be 7 through 37. If you want to give Sale and Q an extra day here and there, that's how it goes.

As long as Sale and Quintana start 18 before the break, and 15 after the break, I'll take it.

I will talk to them about it

The Rangers are absolutely blitzing the Tigers so far this weekend with a barrage of homers...

That line-up doesn't have many easy outs in it at the moment.

Playing match-ups this early in the season (go for the sweep against MN or set the tone with going for the first win in a series against TEX) usually doesn't work out for well. They did attempt to do that, moving Danks out of the Blue Jays series and pushing him back against Baltimore, where he'd experienced more career success. 50% success with that, offense bailed out Gonzo in TOR, who gave up 5 and ordinarily would have taken the loss.

Our 5th starter candidates aren't getting any easy opponents

Really hope this guy solidifies that spot. Nobody else is doing well enough to come up.

Kahnle got sent down to make room for Gonzalez. Carroll survives.

For this roster, Carroll makes a lot more sense than another short reliever.
