  1. If the homer holds up I will nominte Jordan for some federal appointment
  2. Sale has this tendency to start poorly and settle in. Needs consistency no doubt.
  3. In the shadow of Casey Stengel you can take your pick to click here
  4. Hope Sale can stop the bleeding especiallyby and from some of our friends on Soxtalk
  5. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ May 6, 2013 -> 01:43 PM) Before yesterday Reed had allowed 14 baserunners in 13 innings. Our team is the absolute worst in the league at hitting, but let's spend time criticizing the closer with the 1.08 WHIP. I would like to point out that I made this observation before. You can't keep putting runners on especially by the walk and not expect to have it bite you in the behind at some point. Now saying that where is my love for criticizing the team? Reading the comments of Ventura et al just shows you the team knows they are not playing the way they should. There constant post of blowing up the team, this team sucks and let's blame I(you insert name(s) here... isn't doing anything but alienating others. You play with who you have injuries and all. Ventura is right you can't bring in 25 new guys every ime you lose a game. Don't make decisions based on frustration or panic. The season is young and at least we aren't in a position like the Angels or Blue Jays or some others. This team can still compete.
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 5, 2013 -> 10:53 PM) I think the wind just pushed it away from him and he wasn't expecting it. But if he was going full speed the whole time he might well have gotten that. Thought he had it timed and the wind got him. But, I agree run hard all the way
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 5, 2013 -> 09:46 PM) It looked like Rios slowed up on that? Might have pulled a leg muscle?
  8. It is amazing how so many abandon ship so early in the season. We are tied as I write this because our young relief stud, who has been pretty good at getting out of gtrouble played with fire once to often and got burned. Plenty of season left
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ May 5, 2013 -> 07:37 PM) And pulling off of everything. The early success seemed to make him home run happy. Rios is trying to do too much and since Dunn usually hits behind him and isn't doing much Rios is not getting the good pitches to hit. He needs to take his walks and not think he has to carry the team offensively. It will come
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ May 5, 2013 -> 01:30 AM) Good game, good effort. This offense is so bad and boring. You said it!
  11. 1:10 PM start in KC for this make up game. It's your guess so put it here
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 3, 2013 -> 05:54 PM) Most pitchers are back throwing in games around 12 months and then ~18 months plus back to ~ normal (or sometimes even stronger) with this surgery, so it's possible he could set a goal of opening day next year and hit it. Of course, if he signed with the White Sox again, he'd hurt his arm while signing the contract and that'd be it for next year. Doctor's can work miracles nowadays so they would have him back up and winning in no time
  13. As a Sox fan I hope Gavin Floyd recovers and has a long and great career. Pitchers that have been able to perform like he has for us do not grow on trees. He is a talented right handed starter and agood guy besides. Really sad to see some of the negative post from people that you would think know baseball and are Sox fans besides. You never want to see anyone and in this case a baseball player suffer an injury that might be career ending.
  14. 5 PM MDT start in God's Country. Hope we see Sale pitch this game
  15. Do your best to win and make your choice right here
  16. Do it here folks! RAINED OUT... NOT SAVING THESE PICKS
  17. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 3, 2013 -> 01:28 AM) I am fine with Santiago in the rotation...........I do not miss Floyd at all. You feel good now but what happens when he has a bad outing or two?
  18. Hector gives up one hit and it has to be a homer. Sox offense leaves a lot to be desired so far this season. I hope we can mount something against the Rangers
