  1. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 17, 2012 -> 02:11 PM) This thread is hilarious. Why is everyone assuming that Danks' career and livelihood are in trouble because he got engaged. Congrats, now move along. Might even make him better
  2. DUNN with a single to LEFT! I love it. His average is climbing too
  3. QUOTE (scenario @ Sep 16, 2012 -> 08:04 PM) "Don't pile on. I almost feel sorry for the Twins", said no White Sox fan ever. Exactly. I really dislike the Twins
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 16, 2012 -> 08:01 PM) Ask and ye shall receive. I love it when we analyze
  5. My PTC Youk gets an RBI single. We need more and here is Dunn
  6. Way to go Wizie with Sac Fly but we still need more!
  7. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 16, 2012 -> 07:46 PM) Blyleven says this year's White Sox team reminds him of the 1987 Twins. Quite the compliment, power and clutch defense combination. Hope he didn't just jinx them. Comparing Sale and Peavy to Frank Viola and himself , strong up the middle with Beckham/Ramirez, similar to Greg Gagne/Lombardozzi. THERE YOU GO DAYAN. Rocked that ball into the upper deck. I want to see these highlights on MLB tonite and then again on Baseball Tonite
  8. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 16, 2012 -> 07:45 PM) Rios with the smooth stroke and the wheels. You don't have to swing all hard to crush a baseball. I have enjoyed watching Rios this year. He has found it I think for sure
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 16, 2012 -> 07:44 PM) Wow. It's safe to say he was staying in the game even if it was 3-2. Way too early to pull him just cause lefties are coming up. Jake will go at least 6 and maybe 7 if he doesn't get into a bunch of trouble
  10. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Sep 16, 2012 -> 07:42 PM) Awesome Dunn. Welcome back, kind sir. That is the Adam Dunn we all love. 39 homers and 89 RBI's this year
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 16, 2012 -> 08:27 PM) You're right. Getting paid $8 million to do that would be something of a disappointment and you'd probably want to bury a guy for that. I never, ever said he was going to rake this year. I half expected Robin to have him in a platoon situation with Fukudome in April, and I said you had to play him no matter how much he struggled. He's been better than I expected, particularly on defense. I agree with part of that
  12. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 16, 2012 -> 08:22 PM) 20-25 homers and 70-75 RBI's is right about where most projected....maybe a bit short on the RBI's and batting average, but not far off. I do think Viciedo has a huge upside. A full season to learn should mean a good 2013. I am looking for an improved batting average, more doubles and about 25-30 homers. He just needs to reign in that swing, take some more pitches and go with what he is given instead of trying to murder everything
  13. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 16, 2012 -> 08:20 PM) Huge change-up K's Parmelee and avoids the bases-loaded opportunity for the dangerous Plouffe (22 homers). Good job Jake! Mauer is the only one with hits for thre Twinkies so far. Let's shut them all down Jake.
  14. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 16, 2012 -> 08:15 PM) If CQ had put up the numbers of Viciedo this year for the Sox, people on here would be burying him. I know, Dayan is young. But he has a lot of improving to do. Most people thought he'd be ready to rake this season after not being rushed. There seemed to be some and still are that zero in on one player and just ride him for all it's worth in a negative manner. It's a shame sometimes to see. CQ is putting up good numbers in San Diego regardless of his physical condition
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 16, 2012 -> 08:11 PM) Mauer killing Peavy today I was going to say that it looks like todays hero for the opposition is going to be Mauer. It isn't so bad when they just get singles but a homer and double means he is getting crushed by a good hitter. Might not bod well towards the end of the game
  16. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Sep 16, 2012 -> 08:05 PM) You get the feeling Viciedo is going to be some sort of very good next year. One can only hope
  17. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 9, 2012 -> 05:29 AM) I'd take Reed in the 9th over Thornton any day. Matt bailed out Reed on Saturday 9-15-12
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 16, 2012 -> 12:39 AM) Someone find reed and fire him out a torpedo tube. This begs the question oif what we are going to do next year. Of course we need to WINM this year but in 2-013 we must decide on a closer. I wonder where Reed is going to fit in? He may be lights out next year after his 2012 experiences but I just don't know
  19. QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 09:02 PM) Reed did a good job of walking people instead of letting them hit bombs Somehting to be grateful for I guess
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 03:26 PM) Throw strikes. This would be a positive thing
