  1. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 01:42 AM) We're back to classic White Sox baseball folks, where situational hitting just does not exist. They are poor & slow learners apparently
  2. Pods pops out.Did the ole hawkeroo say how "he just missed that one dangdy daggummit?
  3. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 01:38 AM) Pitch around Wise. Definitely do that. It makes since doesn't it? I means a .192 hitter with no rbi's is dangerous
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 01:30 AM) This is the perfect umpire for Colon. No excuse for him to not have a good start. He was good in the second and if not for that very first batter in the first-our own favorite ex-son OC-he would be doing really good through 2
  5. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 2, 2009 -> 10:58 PM) I think you'll see him on this homestand. I think there is more of a chance you will see Herbert-the Milkman-Perry back at 3B in the next couple weeks then Beckham up here.
  6. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 01:25 AM) It's funny. After the way he started off this game I was feeling real good about Pods, it feels like I'm starting to come around. But then he reminds me: he runs the f***ing bases like a little leaguer. How do you get picked off second base? I mean come on you see it tried a lot, but it just don't hapen. But, it did!!!!
  7. Hope Bart can pitch like a lights out kinda guy again. Looking for more wins
  8. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Jun 2, 2009 -> 02:33 PM) Why would the Sox have a scout following the Astros when Oswalt isn't pitching? An IF of Konerko, Ramirez, Beckham, and Tejada would be an impressive upgrade. Question is what would it take to get Tejada? I might have agreed with you a couple years ago, but not now. Ramirez is getting raves about his play at SS and Getz handles the glove well as does Nix. I am thinking Beckham fits in either at 2B or 3B soon. Tejada costs too much. Not that he isn't agood ball player it's just we don;t have to spend that kind of money
  9. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 2, 2009 -> 06:17 AM) When he was 16 and lightning struck a tree in his backyard. Wasn't he in a movie or something?
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 2, 2009 -> 02:43 AM) Just what I wanted! Another Josh Fields thread! I would have called for Fields to be traded for Crede, but Joe has asore knee right now
  11. Give it up for Mr Josh Fields!!!!!!!!! 2 run scored on his single
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ May 31, 2009 -> 08:10 PM) Please contribute Wise so I don't have to keep defending you. Sorry your not off the hook yet
  13. QUOTE (Reddy @ May 31, 2009 -> 07:06 PM) go back over the last few pages. multiple people, yourself included i believe, said "john danks is freaking (or f***ing) terrible" let's just relax a bit is all i'm saying. Maybe in this game?
  14. QUOTE (Reddy @ May 31, 2009 -> 07:02 PM) thank you. everyone calm the f*** down. John Danks does not suck. He's not TERRIBLE! he's a young pitcher who went a ton more innings last year than he had previously. Regression is natural. jesus. Please give us a break. I don't think anyone hates Danks. I think he is a star pitcher in the making but he isn't showing it this year so far
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ May 31, 2009 -> 07:03 PM) So put me in the camp who's officially worried about Danks. He's looking like the pitcher we saw in 2007 again, and unlike Floyd, who seems to have pitched better than his numbers show, Danks is the opposite. Agree
  16. QUOTE (G&T @ May 31, 2009 -> 07:00 PM) Tired arm from last year's over use. It happens. If he has a tired arm now I would be worried. I tend to think it is really more of not locating his pitches and maybe poor pitch selection. He gets in trouble and can't get out of it until at least 2 or 3 runs score on him
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ May 31, 2009 -> 07:00 PM) Wise PH for Anderson last night cause Anderson was having bad at bats. Wise gets a lot of hate on this board. If they got equal bat bats over the course of a year, I bet Wise would have better power numbers and possibly a better batting average. BA, of course, is superior on defense. I would argue that point with you, but I know Wise can show some good lumber at times. Defense yes BA is superior, but DW gives it his all
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ May 31, 2009 -> 06:58 PM) I never thought I'd see the day that I'd rather have Clayton Richard on the mound instead of Danks. Please don't trade Richard, KW! Danks needs to pull his head out of that wrong end and start pitching like we saw last year
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ May 31, 2009 -> 06:54 PM) Anderson has no one to blame but himself for not playing today. He sucked last night, and I'm sure Ozzie wanted to get Wise a start this wknd. It has nothig to do with last night and everything to do with getting Wise a lefty hitter some at bats. Wise isn't now and wasn't doing anything before the injury
  20. I was impressed with the heat he was bringing and glad to see it. He didn't have it with the curve until that last pitch. It looked pretty good
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ May 31, 2009 -> 01:10 AM) It just amazes me at how Anderson seems shocked to get a 3-2 curve, Getz seems shocked to get a 3-2 slider in, and Fields seems shocked to get a fastball up in the zone. Now that's exactly where Walker needs to be more vocal. He will learn in good time. BA s a fine player and we should feel lucky to have him
  22. We will need a healthy Jose down the stretch. If he can heal up and find his control he will be a top of the line guy again
