I was glad to see Wise get a hit, if for no other reson than just for his ego. He needed that and so do we as long as he is playing -

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 07:01 PM) Why? I suppose if for not other reason we should try and win it for MB? I think the more games you win the better chance you have of finishing in 1st place -

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 06:47 PM) Ours still has the flu. That's the story that Ozzie wants people to believe. I don't believe much in conspiracies or being paranoid, but everyone is out to get BA -

I think it would have been great to see our BA against their BA and for our BA to beat their BA, but Ozzie is prejudiced against our BA. Or so I have heard -

QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 06:40 PM) If we actually hit what people here expect with RISP, we'd be the greatest team in the history of baseball. Or what big league ball players should hit -

QUOTE (kwolf68 @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 07:37 PM) Lost in the excitement of Beckham's first AB is yet another non-productive inning where we failed to come up with a key hit to bring in a run. I almost RATHER face Zack Greinke than Brett Freaking Anderson. Yes, two innings in a row with runners in scoring position. -

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 07:36 PM) I don't see how we can continue to give him ABs. He's sporting a .000 OBP. However, remember we haven't faced this pitcher before and he is at a 0.00 ERA so he msut be impossible to score on... or so I have been told -

QUOTE (BearSox @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 04:11 PM) Merle Haggard is some good s***. I think my favorite song of his is White Line Fever. I sure like his music. I think he sand a song called "America" too and I thought that was real special -
We shouldn't complain about Ozzie's issues with BA in any way shape or form because we might make Ozzie mad. But, I think BA has the flu and is still recuperating.

Reading with some humor how Ozzie wants everyone to know he makes the line up. Well-Duh! He most certainly becomes irrittated and agitated all at the same time when folks question him, but I would ask who else makes out the line up? He always carries on about how he will take the heat and all that when the team plays bad, but do you think maybe he goes off a little to fiery? Interested in seeing what people think about our man the Ozzie dude and his choices.on't get me wrong-but I thnk he needs to cool down a bit. Certainly we have heard about this through other tirades and posts, but I think enough is enough of this stuff from the manager.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 11:48 AM) This is more exciting than the Jonas Brothers coming to town. or Merle Haggard I hope the Slayer has broad shoulders casue if we lose and he goes o-fer and make an error then this site will go nuts and demand he be sent down for more seasoning. -
Let me add to this large posting with my amazed feelings. I did not think he would be here this quick, but I am happy he is coming up to play. Betemit was not performing for sure, but then we have some others doing that too. Maybe it will help us defensively and with adding some offensive spark.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 05:55 PM) I think Betemit at 1b is one I can live with on occasion. At least, if he ever starts hitting that is. I have been very dissapointed with Wilson B so far this year -

QUOTE (smalls2598 @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 03:29 PM) Hopefully I can bring good luck to the Sox on my first Gamethread! Come on Clayton, keep up the great work. I'll be at the game, section 134 Good luck and have fun at the game. A winner by Clayton Richard and the Sox always makes it more fun too -
If the Big Hurt comes back...is it just to retire?

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 04:54 PM) Bring back Frank, DFA Betemit, use Frank as your backup utility infielder and be happy with the defensive improvement. OK. I will put my stamp of approval on that arrangement -

QUOTE (wilmot825 @ Jun 2, 2009 -> 04:47 PM) In the Daily Herald today there is a column that says the White Sox are open to bringing back Frank Thomas if he wants to come. But is this just a move to let him retire with the White Sox or will he actually play? The guestions begs to be answered: What position does Frank take on a team that already has a DH. I love the Big Hurt, but it dopesn't make much sense to have him on the roster if he just sits on the bench taking up a spot just to pinch hit once in awhile. -
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 03:15 PM) I'm well aware that he has the flu, that doesn't mean Wise won't continue to start over him despite being talentless. We seemed to have stacked the line up last night with punchless wonders at the bottom led by Wise. However, before I go to far with the line up issues I do realize you have to use the bench from time to time. If BA was sick that's a good reason to start Wise.
