  1. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 14, 2008 -> 04:45 PM) If they need to play 3 at the end, they'd need to be at least 4 games up to not play them. I was thinking that every game we play and the Twinkies don't would mean a 1/2 game plus or minus in the standings and not a full game difference. Not sure that is right though
  2. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Sep 14, 2008 -> 05:27 AM) While we get rained out the Twins win their Saturday DH and are now in first place I might need to correct myself. Looking at the standings today the Sox were still in 1st lace .001 percentage points in front. Plus we are one game ahead in the loss column. However to get rained out again gives us three games to make up I believe and the way this race is going we just might be doing all three at the end of the regular season. Maybe they wouldn't have to be made up if we have a full two game lead at the end of the season, if my math is right.
  3. We have the Reds Pioneer League affiliate here. They actually won the Northern Divison, but lost to Gt Falls in the playoffs 2 games to none. But, reports on Gt Falls were very positive this year. Hudson could be a real star in the making

  5. Fox jinked the Sox. Rained out
  6. I am ticked and will register my complaint with the folks in charge of the weather. I now have to hope for ESPn on Sunday. One game instead of two this weekend that I get to see
  7. I have been on-line seeing about Chitown weather. Nothing is saying we are rained out yet so I am hoping we get to see this game played
  8. Always good to look back at what might have been... good or bad. AJ is one heckuva a player and it is safe to say he was a huge, and still is, part of the winning Sox
  9. QUOTE (BaseballNick @ Sep 12, 2008 -> 03:58 PM) The weather reports don't look too good for tonight, tomorrow, or Sunday. We only have one off day the rest of the season, so you know they're going to do all they can to get the games in. With the Sox scheduled for FOX on Saturday and ESPN on Sunday night let's hope the weather holds at least for the games
  10. This weekend appears to have the Sox with two nationally broadcast games. Fox on Saturday and ESPN on Sunday night. Let's cheer for wins
  11. Uribe on by the E-5. We stillhave a chance
  12. QUOTE (aprec32 @ Sep 12, 2008 -> 03:57 AM) Nick redeem yourself here! 00000000000000000000000000000 Not tonight
  13. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Sep 12, 2008 -> 03:54 AM) Junior- "I want to win a ring before I'm done and this could be my best shot". THEN DO SOMETHING HERE Not tonight fans I am too tired and old!
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 12, 2008 -> 03:54 AM) Ended up being the winning run. Maybe he can do it tonight then too?
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 12, 2008 -> 03:52 AM) Maybe he'll take a HBP on the elbow guard? What? And he did!
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 12, 2008 -> 03:53 AM) Last night Did it help us? I have been out of the area for a few days
  17. When is the last time Nick Swisher had a hit?
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 12, 2008 -> 03:46 AM) The daily poor defensive play by Alexei. Amazing how he can be simply amazing on a play and then be brutal
  19. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 12, 2008 -> 03:36 AM) Well the only bad thing from the last 2 innings was that a AAAA scrub came in with 16 games left in a tight game. Now its 6-4. We should either be tied or up now.. I reckon an 83 MPH fastball is not working well in clutch situations?
  20. The pitchers seem to think the offesne can cancel their mistakes out every time
  21. QUOTE (aprec32 @ Sep 12, 2008 -> 03:34 AM) Does it ever seem to you that the Sox always after giving up a large number in a close game, that they start a comeback thats just not enough? My observation exactly. 4 or more it seesm at a time when they tube
  22. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 04:05 AM) Jenks is a bit worry some, but at this point in the season, any way you can get a W is a plus. Just pile them up. Getting the series split from the hottest team in baseball won't be the worst thing that could happen to this team. I agree that you take the W anyway it is presented. Four runs given up by the pen is a worry especially Jenks givingup 3 in the 9th. But, we won and tomorrow they might all shine
  23. See you this Sunday on the big screen
