QUOTE (Kalapse @ Aug 30, 2008 -> 02:53 AM) 12 ABs since returning from the DL. 1 single 1 strikeout 1 weakass lineout to short 9 weakass outs to the right side (seven of them in the air) It takes awhile to regain the hitting stroke
-
The Sox hitters went as quickly as they could in the 9th so they can go hang their heads in shame. We have Sat and Sun and need wins. Let's go! Weather looks decent for the weekend anyway

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 30, 2008 -> 02:36 AM) Kalapse, where are you to comment on that weak fly ball by Crede to right field? Screw it, just trade for Huff and put him at 3rd base. His defense will suck, but it's not like it would be worse than Crede this year or Fields next year. 9 hitters on the Sox and we have two hits total and people are complaining about Crede?
-
Two hits? We have two hits in the 8th inning? This is unforgiveable
-
I knew Paul Konerko would come through. He is one of the main people on this team. A leader and he showed it

QUOTE (DABearSoX @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 10:36 PM) So pretty board here at work and I was thinking that since "the Big Hurt" has left us I refer to him as "T-Bone" I have no idea why but its just something my head made up. If you could change any former or present White Sox player nickname what would it be? (here is your chance to take it out of Hawk's hands) OK George Costanza

QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 09:13 PM) Its good news for the White Sox well beyond this Friday, but very bad news for Boston. Might be seeing the end of the red Sox in the hunt for the pennant. I can say with great certainity.. it's possible...
-
QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 08:43 PM) OC and all the Sox veterans are in the pennant race as we hit September. They are in the hunt. Guys like OC can be heroes in chicago the rest of their lives if they get the job done the rest of the way. Anybody who hates OC will like him a lot if not love him if he is a September/October hero and helps us win it all. I can accept what your saying

I have to believe Danks just had a bad game. Same with Broadway. Everytime a player, especially a pitcher, has a bad game we all start calling for their heads or assume they hit the wall and are now done for the season. Giving a picther a rest by skipping a start is not a bad idea, but to relegate them to the bench or mop up duty is a bit unrealsitic.

QUOTE (knightni @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 02:14 AM) That was fun. No it wasn't
-
OK. It finnaly clicked and moved to Thome's at bat. So now it's 3-2 O's

QUOTE (mr_genius @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 12:58 AM) robbed! good base running by AJ. i'm actually shocked he got to 3rd on that I am using Gameday for a bit till I can get to my XM. It's stuck with 2 balls on Dye. What's up?
-
Liz has already thrown about 50 pitches so hopefully we start getting on base and or crushing the ball soon
-
QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 12:52 AM) We better come back and win this game! One can only hope
-
QUOTE (soxfan3530 @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 12:49 AM) danks not on today at all. 4 hits and a walk today so I agree he just doesn't seem to have it. Let's hope the offense comes through tonite for the Chisox and Danks at least keeps us close and doesn't lose it all together
-
QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Aug 27, 2008 -> 11:16 PM) Did Hawk say that our Defense was reliable? What a joke. He must be on crack
-
KONERKO IS BACK!!! Home run. Last night he had two doubles. I am hoping he is going to turn it on now for the rest of the year
-
QUOTE (Paint it Black @ Aug 27, 2008 -> 11:00 PM) Anybody suprized to see Swisher starting tonight because he came out last night? I thought Ozzie had an injury rule if you come out, you sit the next day. He changed the rule when it was determined Swisher was not really hurt

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Aug 27, 2008 -> 12:01 AM) Soxtalk.com has made some adjustments to the admin/mod team in order to add some newer members to the mod ranks. We believe fresh posters can lead to innovative ideas which will help the site continue to remain successful. In addition, you might see a mod or two who used to patrol a forum no longer listed as a mod. This is because these individuals have had changes to their personal lives which prevent them from being able to moderate. We are very appreciative of those mods efforts over the years as they are a large reason the site is what it is today and we look forward to the contributions the new mods will bring to the site. So please welcome the following new mods: Shipps – SLAP & Sports Bar Scenario – Pale Hose Talk & FutureSox IamShack – Pale Hose Talk LostFan – Filabuster & Sportsbar All of these posters have shown an ability to stir up discussion in a polite manner and we believe they will be excellent additions to the site. Thanks for being involved guys

All I care about is winning. OC seems to want to win. He is a gold glover and has done some good hitting in the clutch. He tries to get on base, advance the runner and he has some speed. Whether or not he is with the Sox next year who knows, but I wouldn't be against it

Let's make this guys ERA about a 10 after tonight

QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 27, 2008 -> 01:27 AM) He fouled a ball off his left leg and sort of rolled his ankle. A couple days rest then maybe?
-
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 27, 2008 -> 01:31 AM) wish he'd start pulling the ball. He will. Just needs to get his timing and stroke down. It takes awhile after a player has been out injured. I liked that 9 pitch at bat he had even though he fouled out
-
Konerko belts another double.
-
Swisher out with injured leg. What is the story there? Anything real serious? Do we have to be worried?
