I'll see you guys on WGN tonight. I will be the one behind the big screen TV. I am looking forward to seeing Danks throw against his former club. I think this is a going to be a fun game. -
It was a brutal game, but the great thing about baseball is there is always tomorrow. I will be watching the Saturday game on WGN and Danks pitches against his former team. I think this will be a lot of fun. More fun if we win mind you, but fun anyway. I think PK will snap out of it and I am changing my PTC tonight and Sunday to Konerko to show my support for the team Captain. One thing to take positive from this game is the effort of Carrasco. But, now what happens when he is sent back down? Apparently he can't go back to AAA without clearing waivers as he has no options. I have never understood that rule and mind you we only saw one game from DJ, but it's still a shame that we might lose him.

I like this Carrasco. Might have given up a run, but he came back battling. Saving the pen I reckon with his 4 plus innings of work

QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Jul 12, 2008 -> 03:19 AM) mental pain. dude looks as if he has no clue and totally mystified. and he ain't been hitting against Josh Beckett, Jake Peavy and Mariano Rivera lately. I gotcha now. How does a professional big league hitter get into that kind of funk anyway?
-
QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Jul 12, 2008 -> 03:15 AM) konerko is in pain. As bad as I've seen in a long, long, long time. ugleeeeee Pain? Meaning physical or mechanics? I can't see the game
-
Konerko K's for the third time tonight. All-Star break can't come quick enough for Paulie (and some others)
-
Thome with a oppo field homer, but we should have had 3 runs if not for the GIDP
-
Carlos Q with a single and DYE GIDP. Rally over. Burn your caps

QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Jul 12, 2008 -> 03:07 AM) Isn't Rupe the guy we traded with Anthony Webster for Carl Everett? I was going to ask that too. I think he is an ex sox product
-
Rupes pitch to Carlos was a suspect strike one
-
QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jul 12, 2008 -> 03:05 AM) Don't forget Jorge De La Spahn. That guy too
-
Good recovery by Carrasco
-
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 12, 2008 -> 03:03 AM) He was in long relief. Thanks. So I guess three innings anyway?
-
We do seem to have a tendency to make sub par pitchers (real high ERA from this Mendoza) into Cy Young Award candidates
-
Was Carrassco a relief pitcher at Charlotte? I question why you would leave a relief pitcher used to maybe 2 innings at a time to stay in any longer than 30 to 35 picthes
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 12, 2008 -> 02:55 AM) This might be rock bottom for the offense. These players seem so uninterested in actually battling out there. Please have the lead going into the ASB. Last night was pretty bad too except for the homer by Dye, Flat footed defense also
-
Just logged on... Not good and we seem to be playing flat footed just lilke last night. Chisox.com puts such a positive spin on things (sic) "Floyd lifted after giivng up six run but A J gets knocked in by Quentin for the Sox first run." Wow! We are rolling now aren't we?

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 11, 2008 -> 08:53 PM) I guess people will hate on who they want to hate on. Paulie is the flavor of the week. Hope he gets hot and proves many wrong. I personally want him in the lineup. If Kenny and Ozzie sense his bat is so slow he's finished, my guess is he'll be traded or benched. If they think there's bat speed left and he's healthy, my guess is he'll play every day. We eat our young around here. Paul Konerko is very good ball player who has been playing hurt and has slumped. We have alot of baseball ahead of us in 2008 and I want PK to be leading this team.

QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 11, 2008 -> 07:12 AM) Where's Ed Walsh? Ted Lyons? Jack McDowell? Joel Horlen? Rudy Law? Julio Cruz? Sammy Sosa? Harold Baines? Ray Shalk? Harold Baines, Gary Peters, Jack McDowell, et al for sure as well as most of your group except Law and Cruz. How about Bob Locker? Why is Wilhelm and starter? He wasn't for the Sox and then again where is Robin Ventura?
-
Konerko is avery good player and is in a slump and coming back off some injuries. I am thinking that when he gets his timing down he will be hitting the long ball and the first game he wins for us all of this will be forgotten.
-
This game versus the Royals was really a sloppy game on the Sox part. I hope they realize it and get charged up for Texas.

We got lucky tonight. Is it just me or has Linebrink been less than sharp the last few outings. -
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 9, 2008 -> 02:20 AM) I better not hear this as an excuse, especially after Jose last season being given a free pass. I am going with you on this one. The guy has been struggl;ing the last five games anyway and now I suppose this will be his excuse to struggle some more.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 8, 2008 -> 08:51 PM) If he cleared waivers and didn't have any interest than I'm sure he would go down to Charlotte and stick with an organization that likes him and has given him a chance. However, I saw where the Cardinals might be interested and I'm sure at least a few other MLB teams would be willing to give him a MLB job. So why would you stay with the Sox in the minors when you have the opportunity to play on a MLB bench. Very true. Most likely Ozuna can offer a lot to another major league team and he probbaly will
