  1. Anderson in CF for awhile is a good move I think. However, switching Uribe and Ramirez is not a bad thing at 2B.
  2. All I care about is that we are in 1st place in our division. I know it's hard to posiitve with some of what we have seen, but I do believe this team can turn that offense on and away we will go
  3. QUOTE (klaus kinski @ Jun 16, 2008 -> 05:16 PM) The boos drowned out the applause from where I was down 1B line It was sickening Last thing we need is to be seen in the same light as the Yankmees or Bosox fans
  4. There was an article on this issue today on one of the websites (chisox.com maybe) where the players say they can't figure out the lack of timely hitting either. Not good.
  5. If Konerko were to go on the DL and Swisher to 1B during that time, who backs up Swisher? Fields doesn't play 1B, even though I think he should be learning that position, and they don't want to use Thome there. Owens is an OF'er and we really don't need an added OF'er.
  6. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Jun 15, 2008 -> 08:36 PM) Thornton has REALLY redeemed himself from last year, he looks VERY good this year Thnaks for the Engrish lesson or spulling one
  7. Rerally impressed this year with Matt Thornton though
  8. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 15, 2008 -> 08:32 PM) We have had a bunch of two out hits today. Just that it is 2 outs and nobody on. That don't make for a lot of runs does it
  9. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 15, 2008 -> 08:26 PM) Hawk's a dummy. "He just missed it." Every broadcast I have watched with Hawk the Sox have about 10 homers they just miss
  10. Hitting can't be too bad as we have 10 today. Problem is we aren't able to get one with two outs. We have had some hard hit balls caught by the Rox too. Terrible though when a team with the Rockies record outplays you.
  11. There is nothing wrong with playing Uribe two days in a row. It is the proper move since he needs playing time. Maybe three days in a row if he plays Sunday and they rest Cabrera. Uribe helped us win Friday and didn't do anything to make us lose Saturday.
  12. I watched the game on WGN and I have to say it was one of the most patchetic dispalys I have seen from the Sox offense. They fell for the old inside and down pitch on two strikes everytime and were swinging for the fences and almost coming out of their shoes a lot.
  13. I just watchged this game on WGN and saw an absolutely incompetent offensive display by the Sox.
  14. I think rather than the call someone up from AAA the guys we have on the bench can play more and spell the regulars
  15. Lofton equals speed, but I wouldn't dump Uribe for him. I think we may be carrying one too many pitchers though.
  16. You have to hand it to Juan Uribe for his good attitude and team player type effort. I still like Juan a lot. I hope he plays again tonight
  17. QUOTE (103 mph screwball @ Jun 14, 2008 -> 06:59 PM) I'll be there tonight for my first game of the year and my daughter's first game of her life. I hope she gets to see a lot of fireworks. That's great that you are taking your daughter to her first game. Who is getting the bigger thrill of it though? You or her? Have fun. I'll be watching on WGN
  18. When Great Falls comes to Billings to play the Reds affiliate-Billings Mustangs I'll give you a report on what I see in Oney Guillen and KW2. Billings has a new ballpark opening this year and games should be real fun.
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 14, 2008 -> 02:11 AM) No, and it's a good thing. If Quintanilla throws to first base on that play, he probably gets AJP. Thanks for clueing me in. Saturday night the game is on WGN so I'll be watching
  20. Why didn't OC go to 2nd on ther WP? I don't have the TV to watch. Uribe went to third on it. Not far enough away or what?
  21. Worst nightmare starting to occur here. BA K's with the bases loaded and no body out. What follows next?
