Worse game I have seen from the Sox in quite awhile

I suffered through this game over WGN. One of the most dissappointiunbg displays by the Sox in a long time. Poor pitching, sub defense and absolutely no hitting. Pathetic. But, as our friend knightni so eloquently said, "there's always tomorrow."

I wouldn't have any problem with the Sox signing Cabrera to an extension. I think it would give the team time to develop Gordon Beckham and see where he fits in before moving Ramirez to SS. It is possible Gordon goes to 2B and Alexei to SS but Gordon probably needs time to develop.

Game is on WGN, which measn I will be in attendance. Attending that is sitting in my easy chair watching the game on the big screen. I will wave to you all of course. I am interested to see how Floyd pitches tonight.

If Loaiza only hit 78 on his fastball that isn't good, but the question is if this is rehab maybe he wasn't supposed to go for velocity. But, I am not convinced anymore he will be the 6th starter, if needed.

I don't think even the Mariners would be that desperate to trade their super star. Their fan base is one reason and his talent the second and one doesn't necessarily take precedence over the other.

I think Carrasco might help again in the future, but as I remind myself he only made one appearance. Russell seems to be doing a good job also.

I would have liked to seen Garland signed rather than Contreras also. But, the "experts" said they were convinced Garland had about peaked. Well, maybe Jose has tanked. I guess they didn't see that. I hope Jose can snap out of this rut.
