  1. well that was a completely pissed away opportunity for a big inning. I really hope this is the last time I ever see Owens in a Sox uniform ever again. s***...I'd take Ersty over this overmatched putz.
  2. Han Ubibay with the plate discipline....nice.
  3. they want no part of Lexi...... don't blame 'em.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 06:58 PM) Gardner sure plays shallow out there. I can see why with that arm he just showed....
  5. QUOTE (YASNY @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 06:57 PM) How's Paulie looking out there tonight? 2-2 RBI double for Paulie.
  6. QUOTE (YASNY @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 06:57 PM) How's Paulie looking out there tonight? looks a little gimpy...but RIPPED one down the 3B line his first AB.
  7. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 06:52 PM) 5-1 Cleveland, Cleveland just scored thanks to an error by Punto than a wild pitch. geez-us...does anybody want this division?
  8. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 06:13 PM) Who said it? Al Leiter? I'm not sure who the announcers are.... I think it's Flaherty....
  9. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Sep 16, 2008 -> 06:11 PM) Yankee announcer just said that Uribe is known more for his bat than his glove. And just said it again on the replay. What a bunch of boneheads....
  10. Well this is a good start. And they gave him a hit on that? pffffffffft. And the Yankee announcers just said that Uribe is known more for his hitting than fielding. Geez-us....
  11. Could?!? Just who the hell would give Joe a multi-year deal? Love ya and all Joe...but it's time to move on.
  12. QUOTE (BearSox @ Sep 15, 2008 -> 09:42 PM) I'll be glad to see the day when none of Ehren Wasserman, Boone Logan, and Horacio Ramirez never pitch for the White Sox again. Wasserman and Ramirez...yes. But Boone is an enigma. He's had some great outings early in the year...and people were singin' his praise. I think it's just between his ears for him. The other two just have no business up here IMO.
  13. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 15, 2008 -> 09:15 PM) That's a pretty weak comparision. We didn't have nearly as many injuries at this time in 2005, and our bullpen was about 100 times better. Yeah...given how everybody's so level-headed on this site and doesn't fly off the handle. Read. That's why I said I'd like to see. Nobody compared s***. sorry...I'd like to link. Everytime I try to search it doesn't let me. (safari maybe?...)
  14. I wish I could link some threads from around this time in '05... We F'n SUCKED according to everybody if I recall.....
  15. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 15, 2008 -> 08:52 PM) Cripple fight!!!! LMAO...I was gonna say Special Olympics.
  16. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 15, 2008 -> 08:36 PM) this bullpen is not going to magically heal itself in two weeks I still think Oz needs to go off. IIRC...after he went off after the Tampa series...the staff seemed to get their head's outta there ass for quite a while.
  17. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Sep 15, 2008 -> 08:27 PM) At least the Sox starting pitching has looked good recently. Im pretty sure Ozzie just couldnt burn his bullpen after yesterday, so he was trying to see if Wasserman could get the job done. Sucks that we are tinkering at the end of the season but right now the Sox are running on fumes. They just need to make the playoffs so that they can go out there and put the best relievers in every game and not worry. If Linebrink, Thornton, Jenks and hell even Dotel were available tonight there is no way Wasserman pitches. We just need to some how get through this. And McDougal getting some outs, where was he to start the 7th, at least he has some stuff. Begs the question...what would you rather have: Either giving Richard or Broadway a start...or having short rotation and relying on this bullpen for 4 innings? Personally...I'd have rather given Broadway a start. Ok...lemme have it.
  18. When's the last time JD homered? 2 weeks?......
  19. Regardless of how s***ty our bullpen is...you need to score more than 2 runs against some shlub like Aceves...
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 15, 2008 -> 08:04 PM) Horacio Ramirez is one of the worst pitchers I've ever seen in a White Sox uniform. Yes he is. I just don't get why he's on this team.
  21. Honestly...you couldn't extend Mark another 15-20 pitches?
