Overall, officiating wasn't too bad but sticking that call in there to ensure the game got tied is just awful

Now, you have to get the last shot. No chucking it up early like last possession, which very well may have cost us the game

That call is unforgivably bad. This is the s*** that makes you not believe in the integrity of the game. How do you call that?

QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 31, 2014 -> 09:47 PM) Thompson has hurt us more in this game than Love and Kyrie combined. Pau has racked some blocks, but has otherwise been horrid on D. Getting murdered on the boards

I doubt KC makes the playoffs next year. They're not very good. They got hot at the right time, but that team just isn't that impressive.

I want to get an in-person look at the Nexus 6. Might just have to get one since I can get it on-contract via AT&T. Rumored 32GB on-contract price is $50; that's what it was when AT&T accidentally published the product page pre-announcement. It's just huge, though, so moreso than the other bigger screen phones, I'd have to get a good look at it. I'd just do the Moto X 2014, but the humongous battery in the Nexus 6 is a pretty meaningful upgrade compared to the smaller Moto X

Lindsey Graham jokes at private club gathering: "If I get to be president, white men in male-only clubs are going to do great in my presidency." The only funny joke is the one that he didn't mean to be - that he can't say a thing about religion without briefly losing his mind about the evil Muslims

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Oct 29, 2014 -> 11:35 PM) My friend just said this was one of the most intense series of the past decade and that the Giants were the underdog. No. This was one of the worst World Series of the past decade and the Giants were certainly not the decade. Well the Giants were certainly not the decade, I'd agree. I think this was a fabulous World Series, it was very exciting and was a fitting end to an exciting playoffs for MLB. I'm sad it had to end.

f*** the Royals. SF had a really likable team and wow, what a coming out party for Bumgarner. With Lincecum and Cain around, he always had to share the spotlight. Not this time. Unforgettable playoff performance.

Ebola in the USA
As experts keep saying, if you don't let people come Africa, they'll go somewhere else first. And they'll lie if you promise to treat them inhumanely when they arrive. You want to be able to find them on the way in rather than incentivize them to sneak in.

Guess the first offseason trade
I'd give them Bassitt. I think Lind is really good as long as you have a platoon plan.

2014 Fantasy Football Thread
I'm in two leagues in which the only players I have for both leagues is Gronk and Denver DEF. I started 0-3 in each. I'll finish this week 5-3 in each. I've made no major acquisitions or trades short of picking up Denver D on the FA wire in both leagues and grabbing KC D in another.

Bostic is far and away the best option in the middle at this point. I think he may yet turn into a pretty good player. Has to be healthy though. You don't see many crucial defensive players with constant injury concerns like you do with skill guys on offense, so he needs to get on the field and put this behind him. As for scheme, when you have every Tom, Dick, and Harry you've ever scouted out on the field, you just can't do much. Half the snaps, we don't even have the play caller on the field. Getting Briggs back will be helpful in that regard, but you still have guys that are just jumping into our system. One thing that it will be interesting to see play out is what the FO thinks of everyone irrespective of performance. If the feeling is that Trestman has a special mind for offense/football, they'll be willing to see more s*** go downhill and place blame elsewhere than if they've been uncertain from the get-go. Same for anyone else involved, of course. Just like why we've dealt with so much Jay Cutler BS. We could all see a special QB in there somewhere, so sometimes we chose to disregard current performance in hopes of seeing that good guy come out.

If we stop a million real voters from voting to prevent a few false votes, it was all worth it and the elections are far more legitimate!
