  1. Kyle's been burned by that same pitch in two consecutive ABs
  2. Double up on that curveball and see what happens buddy
  3. Royals put good wood on some fairly well-located pitches that inning. I have a suspicion that Kay tips his pitches.
  4. Jake replied to Timmy U's topic in FutureSox Board
What a stinker of a season he had after some reason for optimism going into the year. Saw him get picked off 2B in his A+ debut last night.
  5. The thing about Fedde vs. Sandlin is if there's any uncertainty about whether you might need both of them later, there's only one of them you can temporarily remove from the team and that's Sandlin. Probably won't hurt David to have his workload managed a bit as well.
  6. I'm trying to prepare myself mentally for seeing Roch post a .700 OPS in Kannapolis in August.
  7. That's a funny way to spell Vahn
  8. I feel like Shomon has got him in a pretty weird state where he's getting a little bit of power production that he didn't have last year but it has his whole approach teetering on disaster. The overall numbers are basically okay but as you are seeing aesthetically it's a lot less steady than the guy we saw last year.
  9. Optimistic about prospects? I thought you knew better than that!
  10. Baldwin has a lot of work to do to keep up with Meidroth or even make the team next year. Brooks has no defensive position, Meidroth is a glove-first player who is likely to out-hit Brooks.
  11. Easy to see why Meidroth swung at the first one. He was looking to get the ball in the air and knew with a sinkerballer on the mound you better take advantage of anything high. It was (barely) a strike but he clearly wasn't ready for how much it ran in on him so he barely got enough of it for it to carry out of play. Then 3-1 it's lower and again the sinker does its thing and bores in on him. In hindsight, should have been taking on anything inside from Armstrong given Chase's and Armstrong's tendencies. He probably just didn't think it was going to be inside. Of course, if he hit it 5 feet left or right they're probably still playing.
  12. Meidroth is going nowhere people. This is a really valuable player. He's on a tough streak but these are the players that championships are made of. In baseball, "average" does not mean "cheap and easy to find".
  13. That was 107 off the bat from Braden by the way.
  14. Meidroth swung 3-1.
  15. Well we outplayed them and lost. Too bad. Probably didn't deserve to win both of the first two.
  16. Can't remember Acuna getting the bunt down successfully in a sacrifice situation. However he is quite good at producing swinging bunts so I'd say just let him swing it.
  17. I'm pretty happy with Teel's ABS decisions behind the dish today. The only big miss was an 0-0 pitch from Rock that missed its spot by a lot
  18. Broken bat single
  19. Wonder if Cleveland tries to run. Speed on both corners
  20. Batted ball luck still not too favorable for the Sox there
  21. Strikeouts are so super valuable with the Manfred man
  22. Teel was messing with the runner on 2nd on that strike 3 pitch
  23. Hope Grant has his good rhythm back tonight.
  24. Just get that a touch to the pull side and it's game over. Armstrong did a nice job mixing different fastballs but I think he otherwise is not too hard to see for batters.
  25. By the way, Luisangel is on deck. If I was Cleveland I wouldn't throw Miguel a strike.
