  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 09:31 PM) Wow, that 3-2 was clearly a strike based on how he was calling crap for Haren earlier. The walk was an acceptable outcome, but damn that looked like a strike to me
  2. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 09:26 PM) If anyone has watched some baseball around the league, you have to admit the umpiring has been really lousy this season. These replacement refs are terrible
  3. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 09:23 PM) just don't let it bother you. I'm not affected by what other people say and I can't comprehend how someone could be. If you don't care what the other posters are saying you should write in a diary instead of posting on a message board
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 09:19 PM) The only truly awful money on the books now is Danks, and at the time of the extension, it seemed like a good deal for the Sox. Yeah and I don't have any reason to think that he won't start earning that money again next year
  5. Build it and they will come* *unless what you have built is in the state of Florida
  6. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 09:07 PM) and K's, do we dare to go with LOB? I agree, Ks and LOB are far more relevant than HR, RBI, R
  7. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 09:03 PM) If I was Manto, that would be my next suggestion. Kenny needs to find a new team for Dunn next year. All or nothing doesn't work in the AL. I agree, it would be easy to replace that production
  8. Dunn needs to do some drills or something. Usually have to we hear about him doing some tee work or something, he pops about 4 home runs the next week
  9. QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 08:54 PM) We're making some absurdly hard outs. And then there's that bunt.
  10. You might think that given this board's track record at predictions, they'd stray far away from them. But no.
  11. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 08:41 PM) Or he's just really bad at defensive fundamentals/fielding his position...and part of that's due to the fact that's he is essentially a minor leaguer learning at the big league level this year. It can't be ALL that surprising. I think it shows up in his pitching as well, which is why I think there's a mental block/focus issue at hand. You can't get by without being fully into it at this level, especially at his talent level
  12. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 08:39 PM) Hawk making excuses... the team looks tired? Doesn't every team play the same amount of games? What is with this 'tired' BS? The Angels don't look tired. Everyone gets tired throughout the season. Going from Minnesota to Chicago to KC to LA with no days off during September is probably a logical time to get tired. Doesn't mean we should play bad, but it does make sense that we would be tired and that it might hurt our play.
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 08:38 PM) Your first negative comment of the year!!! In all seriousness, I really appreciate your activity in these game threads this year. Crusading for patience since 2004
  14. Q is one that I think might be a bit of a space cadet. I don't throw that around lightly but I really think he has a problem staying focused.
