  1. For looking like s***, Peavy did a hell of a job. He could have been out of that tough outing with no runs.
  2. Gordon with a Rowand-like ability to lay off high fastballs
  3. Dayan still can't hit a fastball. Get it together man.
  4. Not hitting does not necessarily mean you're lifeless. These guys have been pitching their asses off. We already scored a run out of thin air on some lively looking legs from Dunn, you should be happy with that life.
  5. Workload catching up to Jake it looks like. Several starts in a row where he's been fighting his command
  6. Quintana should not be in the bullpen, that's a bulls*** thing to do to his development. I am all for demoting Stewart, Santiago and calling up Bruney and a post-prospect age SP from AAA (can't think of the whole rotation right now). I think both of those kids need to be starting pitchers, I'm willing to bet at least one of them contributes to our MLB roster one day if we let them be starters.
  7. I don't expect him to stay long if Fuku stays out. You're really throwing a wrench into the development of a potentially starting-caliber player. Would have been great to see him finish the year in AAA over .300, etc. He may have even had trade value.
  8. Toronto has its vulnerabilities, don't doubt that

QUOTE (Springfield SoxFan @ Jun 6, 2012 -> 09:59 PM) Does Danks get called up for Fukodome tomorrow? What is the status of our 40 man, do we have room to add him? I sure wouldn't call him up to have him ride the bench during the first hot streak of his career...but maybe that's just me
  10. I think the broadcast team nailed it earlier, Tank is trying to do a bit too much. Let's not forget he smoked a couple of balls today too, though.
  11. I don't believe that's the screwball he's getting hurt on. I think it's a changeup. The 76-79 pitch that breaks away from righties is the screwball, and he rarely throws it. It's clear that the move to the bullpen has cost him part, or perhaps all, of his repertoire. You'll see his fangraphs page calls its a split finger and you'll see the difference in his use this year compared to last. http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playe...&position=P
  12. anyone have a place to watch this other than firstrowsports? their link went down
  13. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Jun 6, 2012 -> 07:07 PM) Methinks the Quintana run of excellence ends tonight. He's due for a clunker... He hasn't even started his run of excellence! Actually, I fear for him every time he goes out. This guy has zero stuff, lol
  14. Any of you Chicagoans eat at Texas de Brazil? I understand that there is one in town and one in the 'burbs. I've been hitting one up in Memphis that is hands down my favorite restaurant, but I heard one of the Chicago area locations isn't as good. What do?
  15. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 6, 2012 -> 10:29 AM) 2/3 is better than none I would say having 2/3 instead of none increases the chances of the "blue" in your BJ
  16. PK needs an MVP award, another year with consideration for the MVP, and either a ring or several deep playoff runs along with the career statistics of 500 HR, etc
