  1. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 8, 2012 -> 08:18 PM) And Sale's only at 95 or 96. That high 90's fastball is missing. He's up 5-7mph from his last start. Give the kid some time.
  2. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ May 8, 2012 -> 08:17 PM) They are so gonna lose this game. I'm not buying it.
  3. Ball took a bad hop and I don't know if there was a play anyway.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ May 8, 2012 -> 08:15 PM) Something to be said about taking your struggling (on the year) starting pitcher out on a high note. I'm not too mad though about leaving Danks in there. Me neither. I think Robin pulled him at the right time. Gave him a chance to get it rolling again and he couldn't do it, pulled him before damage was done.
  5. Don't forget your fastball Chris!
  6. lol @ 96 coming out of nowhere
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ May 8, 2012 -> 08:11 PM) That made me more pessimistic, as he hit it well and it was a routine 275 foot out. lol, I was just happy he swung kinda hard. At the same time, it assured me that he isn't close to being a big league hitter right now.
  8. FWIW, it's not like Hannahan smashed the thing. Just bad luck on that play.
  9. Is it bad when Morel's fly ball made me feel slightly more optimistic about him?
  10. I don't know if Brent can make himself better right now against major league pitching.
  11. That's gotta be just about the nail in the coffin for his MLB stint
  12. Great job Tank!
  13. lively game thread is lively.
  14. I wonder what Cleveland fans think about the variety of s*** hitters in their lineup. It's worse for them because guys like Damon and Kotchman aren't exactly prospects anymore, lol
  15. Finally a changeup to a left handed batter
  16. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 8, 2012 -> 06:58 PM) The ball wasn't hit in front of him. It was getting by him no matter what. The key was that he held him to a double, and not a triple. It was a good effort. I was impressed with his ability to get up and throw the ball in.
  17. Dayan learned something today.
  18. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ May 8, 2012 -> 06:52 PM) It's absolutely true. And pitch count has nothing to do with it, Danks wasn't going to tire in an at bat against Duncan in the 2nd inning. Batters get the advantage because they get to see everything the pitcher's got. And "swing mode" doesn't mean "swing at everything mode". Duncan was hitting the ball hard on a lot of those pitches by Danks, and they were in various parts of the zone. Then he gets one right down the pipe and pops it up. A better hitter murders a number of those pitches that Danks threw. The only time the pitcher gets the advantage is when the hitter is the type to mindf*** himself throughout an at bat. Generally speaking, it's tough on the pitcher to see everything he's got being whacked at (somewhat) successfully
  19. I love it. You never see a hitter strike out without looking back at the mound at some point as if to say "what's going on out there?"
  20. Paulie moves the man over, lol
  21. I don't know what's gotten into AJ
  22. We always said John had no putaway pitch, lol
  23. And the hit parade continues.
  24. Had to knock in those two men in scoring position and we did that. Good start.
