  1. At first, I didn't like this trade. But after watching Mr. Marte this year, I was pleased. What will become of Guerrier? He won't turn out to be a quality major leaguer, will he?
  2. I so badly want them do land in Portland. I t would take me less than an hour to drive there. Right now, the Mariners are my nome team, even though they're well over two hundred miles away. I've always wanted a big league team in my area. Don't worry. I won't become an Expos fan.
  3. I hope the White Sox kick the Twins ass all over the field this year. A season series like 15-4, or something quite similar. That would be great. My hatred for the Twins went up after reading that article.
  4. Come to think of it, I really hated losing Sean Lowe. Just kidding. I couldn't resist.
  5. I would have no problem with him being her efor the next 15 years. Aside from the point, I really want Frank to finish his career on the South Side because I couldn't imagine him in another uniform.
  6. Josh Fogg or Kip Wells. I was upset in losing Fogg, because I thought he had enormous potential. I think Kip had his chance, but wasn't too impressive. Fogg= 12-12, 4.35 Wells= 12-14, 3.58 Fairly similar numbers, but I believe Fogg will have more success over his career than Wells.
  7. I, watching baseball since 97, never knew Thomas to have major opposite field power. In 2000, when he hit a career high 43 bombs, a grand total of 2 were hit to the right of dead center.
  8. I really don't belive that hitting homeruns for a day will ruin a guys season. I truly think that is irrelevant. I do, however, hope that the other part comes true. "Ordonez. Maggs Ordonez; 2003 World Series MVP." James Bond style.
  9. Whre did you find that he was offered a contract? I checked out chicagosports.com and didn't see it.
  10. I got a 1917 jersey for my birthday last year. Last time I went Comiskey, I bought a Comiskey Park patch that is worn on the sleeves. I really want to get a Konerko jersey to put it on. I want his because I'm a first basemen who wears #14, not coincidentally. I wonder how the patch will change, due to the stadium name changes.
  11. I really don't think that Frank is a "Homerun hitter". 43 as a career high for a man like him doesn't warrant "leave the humeruns up to Big Hurt". I think of him as a more all around hitter.
  12. Wait a minute. How do your countdown go up, even though you posted it later?
  13. I agree with you on Griffey and Ordonez. I'd rather have Magglio any day. But, I think that this deal is thought provoking in the sense that Adam Dunn is in it. I also agree with you on Carlos Lee. I have no trouble with him. He is not as bad a hitter as alot of people make him out to be. I just feel that Dunn will be much better. Plus, he and Griffey are both lefthanded power hitters.
  14. I know Maggs will be wonderful, but I believe that Ken Griffey still has some good years left in him. But who knows how much potential Adam Dunn has. I think who could be consistently hitting 40 HR's, driving in well over 100, stealing at least 20, while maintaining his .400 OBP! Plus, this would get rid of El Caballo, something that many of you seem bent on.
  15. i think they might. I think that because do you remember earlier this offseason they offered Griffey straight up for Maggs? Allow me to come up with a value system. Ordonez(10) + Lee (7) = 17 Griffey (9) + Dunn (8) = 17 That may be curious, plus or minus a point or too, but I think that it is an even trade.
  16. I still want Jon Rauch to be the Human Sears Tower.
  17. The Sox through in CLee, and the Reds tossed in Adam Dunn?
  18. I don't neccesarrily(?) want him to be a "homerun hitter", I just don'think that his average will fall that far if he does juices a couple more out of the yard.
  19. I'm quite proud of him. any word on when they will air these shows? I think I will keep them in a video tape collection. i also don't belive that each homer Maggs has over 35 will cost him 5 points to his average, that doesn't make sense to me.
  20. I know I'm giving the Cubs to much credit here, but I would love to sweep them in the World Series. Wouldn't that be magical?
  21. What I wouldn't give to win the World Series. I want to watch the White Sox Championship from 11-03 to 4- 04. I feel that this is the year.
  22. Is it the Cubs, the Yankees. the Twins, or is it Barry Bonds at Comiskey. My personal favorite is when the Sox go to Safeco, because that's the only games i'll be attending this year.
  23. 65 sounds about right, but definitely no more than 70.
  24. That came out of nowhere. I'm more certain that they'll finish last than the Sox will finish first. I think Tampa Bay will never make the playoffs, maybe even finish above .500 ( depending on how long they last)
  25. Who would you rather have? I think that the only ones I would take are Jason Giambi, Jim Thome, and maybe Delgado or Helton. We do in fact have a pretty good first basemen. I hope he stays for a long time.
