Montreal Expos
Yesterday, it was announced that the local Native American tribe, in Oregon, would pay for the construction of an entire new stadium if they could put ONE casino in Portland. Upon hearing this I thought that we had a great chance of getting the Expos. This morning however, I heard that the bastard Governor turned down the proposal. What a dick! The tribe was going to pay every last cent of the $350 million stadium! :fyou Governor.

Now that it actually is time for this game to start, it won't load up for some reason. As anyone else tried it?

Didn't mean to post that one twice, sorry.

Today's Game
The "Booey" pitching for Oakland is Micah Bowie who used to be on the Cubs. Where was Frank today? Yesterday kicked ass with him stroking the ball so well. The "Scoreboard" section of my local paper was headlined, "Thomas poers White Sox to win." That was damned sweet to see this afternoon.

It's a one year, $2 million, with possibly $500,000 in incentives. Ha! Bastard.

Minor League Camp assignments
Asians Chili Davis also wore his first name on his jersey.

Preseason Picks
I wonder how come everyone thinks that the Padres will finish ahead of the Rockies. Their offense sucked ass, and now they won't have their best hitter for the entire season. Anyways, even thought they haven't won in a coulple years, I still think the Yankees are the team to beat.

Fav BBallers
I like Scottie Pippen and Rasheed Wallace. But other than that, I like Kobe, Garnett, and the Kings and Mavericks.

Robin Ventura
The first Major League game I went to was on 8-9-97. It was at the Kingdome where the M's were hosting the ChiSox. In the top of the ninth Robin smacked a three-run-job of the facade in centerfield's upper deck! That is my memory of Robin. I remember last offseason there were rumors of us signing him. I wanted that to happen xo bad. Hopefully Crede will be great and we won't need his services again. Should something happen, I'd love to have him back.

Just saw on Sportscenter....
I read on ESPN.com that they are banning all substances, legal and illegal, containing stimulants and steroids.
-
Sox B Game vs. Arizona
If that was a 4 1/2 inning game, how come Rooney and Farmer were saying something about the 7th inning stretch and "this is the ninth inning", if I'm not mistaken?
-
Just saw on Sportscenter....
No, come to think of it they didn't. All I heard is that they made all of the players sign off that they wouldn't take any.

Lou Pineilla
Actually, the last five years I saw him every day from April to October, but I never saw him do that! I hope to see it again. I bet you JM talks up quite a game in the dugout.
-
Lou Pineilla
Him on Sportscenter! He was cussing his head off at some pitcher on his team, and saying that he can see why they "lose 100 motherf***ing and 5 motherf***ing games a year"!!!!!! That was the funniest thing I've ever se en!

That the Milwaukee Brewers have banned their players from using supplements of any kind. It will be interesting to see how their numbers will compare to the rest of the league.

Roster Cuts
Some of you have said that you think that Daubach or Rios will not make the club. I, in no way, see that happening. Also, I couldn't care less if Paul is released. Some say that you need the third catcher when Sandy goes down, but what makes Josh Paul so qualified over another to do it. We could have Paul Konerko be third catcher, as he is the emergency man that all teams have. ( At least he was a couple years ago.) Maybe we should call up Steve Decker, who I believe can still hit a t the big league level. I know the guy personally, if you do not remember him, look up his stats. Last played in Major Leagues for Anaheim in 1999.
