Keizer. Right next to Salem. I was in Tualitin a week ago visiting my friend. Pretty cool place.

Charlotte is in North Carolina, if I'm not mistaken.

CW, I agree with everything you said, EXCEPT, that Pineilla didn't have anything to do with the 116 wins in 2001. If you'll remember, that team had just lost A-Rod, nobody knew too much about Ichiro, and Bret Boone came back from the dead and had a fabulous year. Besides Edgar and Olerud, they're best offensive player was Cameron! He had Carlos Guillen at SS, David Bell at third, Dan Wilson at catcher, and a total platoon in left field. He had a good pitching staff, but he worked it very well. Having watched almost all of their games that year, I think he did a fabulous job. Having said that, I don't think he'll make much of a difference in Tampa Bay.

It can'y be true, because there is nothing on ESPN TV either. As much as I don't want people injured, his breaking a leg would all but gaurantee the Sox the AL Central.
-
If I'm not mistaken he doesn't seem to think he's the team leader, isn't that alot of what he was talking about? I don't think that that is too important. I love Frank Thomas, and I don't care what he says as long as he goes out there and hits the damn baseball a long way

Actually, I paid $35 for two tickets on Ticketmaster.com, and alot of that was in the service charges. I think it is well worth seeing Michael Jordan do his thing before he is gone.

Just because you want me to, but I have no reason for it.

I don't see how you think that just because the Sox haven't done well in the last three times they went to the playoffs, that they're automatically going to bad this year, should they get there, which I'm GOING to be placing my money that they will. The 1983, 1983, and 2000 Sox aren't playing this year, the 2003 Sox are, and they're going to be kicking ass!!!!

He was having trouble getting his visa from his native Panama. He should be there today.

I know that Frank has been using that thing for awhile. And, he is much bigger than 6'4", 240 pounds. He's a MONSTER!
-
He didn't go in the Baldwin deal. I think he was traded in ST of 2001, if I'm not mistaken.
-
Was he supposed to be good or not? I don't really remember. All I know was that he was drafted before Nomar Garciaparra! Who scouted that one? Who was he traded for when moving to LA? Right now he is with Colorado.

We all seem to forget that David Wells won 20 games the year before we got him. And, we didn't give up much to get him: Sirotka, who hasn't pitched in the bigs since, Kevin Beirne, did nothing for Toronto and is now doing nothing for the Dodgers, all this after doing nothing for us, and Brian Simmons, who returned and did nothing so he was released. At the time of this deal I was very excited, not as excited as I am now about the Colon deal, however. The only move that Kenny Williams has ever made that I didn't like at the time was the Ritchie deal.

The retards attacked the KC first base coach? If so, what were you thinking when it happened. I only heard about it after the fact, and didn't even see it until days later.

Baggio, when you say that we have no one from the White Flag Trade, you could say that we have Willie Harris (Singleton) and Billy Koch (Foulke). Because without those guys, we wouldn't have them. I think Howry and Caruso came with that deal also, right. We don't have them anymore, but so what. At the time of the trade is when I was first becoming a ChiSox fan and baseball fan, so I didn't really think anything of it at the time. But in retrospect, it does look like a bad deal.

its offical..........spring training look out ....
Bighurt52235 replied to a topic in Pale Hose Talk
I found out that my Mom, who is in Detroit for business this week, was supposed to be going to Tuscon for a week in early March! But, unfortunately, she decided not to go because that would have put her away from home for two consecutive weeks. I would have gone with her and have finally made it to Spring Training!!! Oh well. Hopefully by next year I'll have a job and I can fund my own trip. -
Thanks. Now I'll be able to sleep tonight

That was a sweet article. I got excited while reading it

Has one of whats every year? I don't remember his press conference last year. Or the year before that. Or any other year, for that matter. Does anybody else. You've all stated what could possibly go wrong with it. Is there any way that this could be a positive?
-
I wish White Sox games could sell out like that. The only ones that ever do are against the Cubs. I don't think Opening Day even sold out last year. :fyou

Tom Paciorek was the 6th or 7th string announcer for the Mariners in 2001. All, Dave Niehaus, Ron Fairly, Rick Rizzs, Dave Valle, and Dave Henderson, regularly work both TV and radio! How confusing. Wimpy worked some games along with the rest. Hell, even Jay Buhner announces sometimes for them.
-
What the hell are you talking about it's not on national TV? They do show ESPN across the country, don't they?
-
Speaking of the season of winning 116 games, I got to go to game 5 of the ALDS and root against Cleveland. Playoff games are exciting I would love to fly up to Chicago to see a playoff game this year, on the South Side, of course. How many of you went to the games against Seattle in 2000?

Your socks are beautiful. John Cena is quite retarded. However, he does in fact write his own lyrics.

Actually, we are ranked behind the Red Sox and ahead of the Mariners.
