  1. QUOTE(diehard chisox 1427 @ Mar 28, 2005 -> 06:09 PM) I have a nice situation. I go to school at Marquette and Miller Park is minutes away, probably 10 minutes. So I plan on going back to campus afterwards and partying. Yeah, but i heard that parties at Marquette end at around 9, so u wont make it back in time. And no, I'm not trying to bash Marquette, but friends that go there(about 6 or 7) say everything ends so early there. I was up there for Halloween and everyone was heading back home from Halloween parties on campus at around 9:30. That's why I don't go to the campus anymore to visit my friends after I go to Bucks/Bulls games. I wish I could go to see the Sox and Brewers though because I want to see Miller Park.
  2. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Apr 1, 2005 -> 12:05 PM) Last years was nice.. 03.. Was god Awful.. Rain, Rain, Rain.. Did I mention Rain? Was Pissed off as well, we were in the bar, they kick us out telling us the game had been called, and then go home turn on the TV.. there is Pauly up to bat.? Last year's wasn't that great, it just seemed better because '03's sucked. Last year it was about 42 the high and if you were sitting on the left side in the upper deck it sucked, because you got tons of wind and no sun so it felt like 15 degrees. Monday should be nice though. Can't wait.
  3. Yeah, he's my favorite player in the league. He better not become a Yankee. I would hate him for it.
  4. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 09:00 PM) You are ready to judge a guy and decide what kind of career he will have based on less than 2 full years in the NBA? Great idea. Exactly why he should've never ever been mentioned in the same breath of Stockton by many people his rookie year.
  5. QUOTE(southsider17 @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 09:01 PM) Sounds like you have a Sox/cub bet going on. Yep, and he lost. He said he would discredit Prior's best year and guarentee that Garcia still didn't have a better ERA+ in any year. He was wrong.
  6. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 09:11 PM) If the Sox hadn't traded for Contreras last year, I would have loved for them to give some big bucks to Pedro. I know that's a dream thought, but he's so good... Oh god yeah. I was hoping that we would go after a Pedro type in the offseason, even though I know alot of people were against having Pedro this offseason. He would've been nice.
  7. ^^Thanks alot. That's what I was looking for. Can you give me Prior's???
  8. I think we'll see Cotts and Adkins down. Hopefully Politte also.
  9. Oh yeah, could someone also give me Prior's translated stats playing in the AL and at the Cell??
  10. ...for if he was playing in the NL and at Wrigley Field in more particular?? I know there's alot of stat heads on this board, so I would like to see his translated stats. I would appreciate it alot.
  11. I don't think anyone's getting traded. Just Levine being wrong again.
  12. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 04:57 PM) I remember someone saying on here that he could average a triple double every night, so I just assumed that he was the next Oscar Robertson. Lol.
  13. So does anyone have a guess at all??? I don't think it's the Dodgers because they have Bako, Navarro and that other guy. I also thought that the Minny rumors were just that.
  14. QUOTE(mreye @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 01:32 PM) I was there 2 years ago on opening day against Detroit! Me too. My first home opener ever and it was the best. Thing is I was sitting right behind homeplate too and had just a light jacket and a shirt on. Crazy weather that day. I remember aweing at the new scoreboard. I'm going again this year, sitting in the left field upper deck since that's all that was available. It's going to be a fun day. It's finally going to be decent weather. Thank god.
  15. Not that funny.
  16. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 10:43 PM) Maybe you should check their shooting percentages before saying that Kirk and Duhon are shooting close to the same. You're right. He's shooting a BLISTERING 38%. Move over Peja. That's horrible for a SG. He's shooting 5% better than Duhon and only 2 % better at threes(On fire with his 35%3PFG). Sorry for calling out your guy, but this team runs much more smoothly when he's out. Even Skiles has admitted that without Kirk, they've gotten the ball in the post much better and earlier. All our guards suck at shooting besides Pargo, but none of them are hyped up like KH. I still remember people saying that he was the next John Stockton. I still laugh at that one. Pietrus would do more for this team than KH does. Anyway, back to the original topic, Bulls won't catch up to Detroit. There's simply not enough games left for them to realistically happen.
  17. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 03:43 PM) I agree completely... It's a good thing I didn't actually hear this first hand, otherwise I would have gone nuts. I don't particularly like Mark Prior. In fact, I actually dislike the guy. He's not the most lovable character. But practicing this kind of journalism is ridiculous. - A guy is on steroids if he get injured too much - A guy is on steroids if he stays too healthy - A guy is on steroids if he gains weight - A guy is on steroids if he loses weight. There's no way to win. No way to not have your name arbitrarily attatched to the stigma of steroids without even the slightest bit of proof. I'd be seriously pissed off if I was Prior, or Helton(who got called out last week) Actually your middle statements aren't true. I haven't heard anyone who's too healthy or gains weight(unless its pure muscle and the head gets bigger) being accused of being on steroids. I do have my suspicisions about Prior though(and no it's not because of what was said on Sporting News).
  18. I have turned the Sox into the Yankees. I just traded Zambrano for Jesus Urban(I think from the Phillies). He throws 3 pitches. A curve, 4 seam fastball and a 2 seamer. His Curve is 67mph. The 2 seamer is 99 mph, his 4 seamer is 102 and all with pinpoint control. I have thrown 3 perfect games in a row with him this season. I also traded Oliver Perez because his ERA was in the 5's. Got another starting pitcher(forgot name) who's ERA is 1.69 with 98IP pitched so far. He's second in the league in K's behind Jesus Urban. Urban has a 2.08 ERA with 106IP so far. Both guys are 23. Rotation: Urban-R the other 23 year old phenom-lefty Harden-R Reyes-L McCarthy-R For my bullpen, it says everyone of those guys(I have 6 BP arms) are potential Cy Youngers and the only guy I have over 25 is Frankie Rodriguez. My leadoff hitter(J. Allen) is batting a blistering .378 with 26 HRS and 46SB.
  19. Kirk is a PG, he's not the best PG on the Bulls though. He sucks at making the post entry feed to anyone(including Eddy Curry) and his shot just sucks. It's been two seasons and last year he played PG all year and his FG% was still poor. With Kirk out the past 4 games, Eddy Curry's T/O's have gone down. Kirk looks for his shot way too much and he can't knock down a consistent jumper anymore than Duhon can(they're shooting around the same %). Duhon does everything better than KH at PG. He gets the ball into the post early. He finds the open guy and the offense runs so smoothly with him running the point. Kirk's alright, but he isn't that great.
  20. I would certainly trade for that prospect. He sounds like a Buehrle.
  21. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Mar 26, 2005 -> 10:44 PM) Did anyone, at any point in the game, say "Damn........Hassan Adams remids me of LeBron James." I sure as hell did. He looks like him and his first step and dribble is like LeBron's. He blew by Dee and Luther a couple of times. I was like damn, he has a very quick first step.
  22. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Mar 26, 2005 -> 08:34 PM) Nice play calling to end the game, Lute.... They gawn! The play actually was supposed to be an option either with Frye having the ball at the top of the key or Salim getting it on a handoff with Frye sliding to the post. Poorly executed and the freshman(McClellan) choked in crunch time. Good play, but horrible execution.
  23. Frye, but since he isn't on there, Deron. All I know is that Frye, Deron and Luther just rose their stock in the draft.
  24. I have as number 50 in MVP.
  25. ^^Sure was. I hope they beat the living snot out of UW-Milwaukee. Just to make him think he can't coach at that next level. Kill the damn Cinderella, KILL IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
