  1. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 06:58 PM) He is pretty bad out there IMO. They score a bunch more than they don't. How is that bad?
  2. The walk got him. Just like it has to all of our pitchers the last two weeks.
  3. That didn't. Woah. Not as much as I thought. THat was in a little bit.
  4. Good job getting the pitch in enough. THat ball has been out over the play for most fo the year. and that fly out turns into a HR.
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 06:50 PM) It sure sounded on the radio like Cora ran us out of the inning. He did what he always does. A lot of the time it works. Some of the times it doesn't. It the first it didn't.
  6. QUOTE(beautox @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 06:27 PM) *sigh* i luv me some joey cora, but this time it didn't pay off, o well. Yep.
  7. Wow. Huge zone tonight. THat strike 2 was crazy.
  8. Tomorrow is such a huge game. HOpefully Jon will pitch a great game.
  9. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 08:30 PM) Yeah, but he's not really talking about Politte's spot, he's talking about the spot that went, successively, to Hermanson, Logan, Nelson, Montero thus far. Politte was our setup man coming into the season, not Hermanson. Montero is in Politte's spot and Tracey is in the spot you mentioned. Well, I supposed Bmac is mainly the setup now and MOntero is just there behind him. It's confusing.
  10. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 08:30 PM) We had THE Boone Logan and a very unimpressive Matt Thornton to start the season in the pen.... Well Thornton turned into the second lefty. Now that spot really isn't there anymore.
  11. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 08:26 PM) As myself and others have said all season, that's something that should have been addressed in the offseason. Who thought Politte would suck and get hurt like this. I don't think anybody expected him to be around 2.00 but 4.00 wasn't out of the question. There was NO spot open but the second lefty and that has turned out to be a plus. You don't go out and get a guy who may or may not be good and replace Politte. That doesn't make sense.
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 08:21 PM) It's inexcusable. Who else would you rather see from our system? There is not an option available now that would be a gaurentee to be better than Montero and you are going to have to pay out the wazoo to get him.
  13. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 08:21 PM) And it sucks... Eh, it's better than Politte the way he was pitching.
  14. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 08:18 PM) Montero getting ahead of everyone, but I still hate having to put Agustin Montero in a game against Detroit in a 1 run ballgame... It can't be Bmac and Cotts and THornton every night. One of Montero or Tracey is going to have to pitch quite a bit.
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 08:12 PM) Not even close NOt even close if he doesn't bobble the ball and makes a good throw.
  16. QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 08:06 PM) We have to pinch hit for Mack here...He is AWFUL against LH pitching. Great time to pinch hit with Pablo and have BA go out to the field and just hope and pray BA doesnt come up again (provied we are winning of course).
