  1. QUOTE(Capn12 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 06:16 PM) A locked in offensive team would have completely unloaded on Garcia tonight, we're lucky that the Twins are scuffling a bit. They scored 18 runs in their last series against the great pitching of the Angels. I wouldn't call that scuffling.
  2. Bonds hits his first homer. Guthrie in for the Indians.
  3. The Indians have 1 hit through 4 against Joe Mays. Yikes.
  4. Glad JD caught that. It was zeroing in on his kneecap
  5. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 06:03 PM) Yes, the pitch selection was correct, Freddy didn't mean to hang the curve though. He's not trying to hang his breaking stuff. The last pitch wasn't a hanger. It was a high curveball. He was trying to throw a high curve. Not one in the dirt.
  6. Royals now up 7-0. Doug M. tripled on a not so great play by Sizemore.
  7. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 06:01 PM) That's cause Torii tried hitting all 3 to me in Carbondale. He swung so hard that he was opening up extremely early, that was just an awful at bat. So it seems to me that he made the right choice going back to the pitch
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 06:00 PM) Judging by Garcia shaking his head after the inning, I can guarantee he didn't mean to throw 4 high curves to Hunter. Could ahve been shaking his head at Dye. Defense has been kinda iffy behind him. Dye's play was so difficult though.
  9. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 05:58 PM) That was about as bad of an ab I've seen Freddy throw. Yuck but thanks Torii. He threw three high curves and Torii didn't get close to hitting any. I'm glad Freddy went back to it.
  10. Beautiful. Freddy looks pretty good. Only the Mauer first inning hit was crushed. ANd Mack should have had that one.
  11. QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 05:54 PM) It depends on what you're watching. Supposedly, WGN has him mid-80's. FSN North has him upper 80's and topping at ~92. And WGN/Comcast has been lower than the stadium gun this year as well.
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 05:52 PM) Well...I see what everyone's saying about Garcia's stuff lacking tonight. It is? No it's not. Ugh. JD loses one in the lights.
  13. Paul Byrd is getting rocked so far this year. 5 runs to the Royals through 2 with no out and a guy on second. We only gave up 1 run to them in 3 games
  14. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 05:38 PM) I think it's Freddy being hard headed to be honest. I think he proved that he can still throw hard in his 2nd start, he's just trying to pitch different right now..why I'm not exactly sure. He'll be fine though. It's not like he's been throwing that hard since he came over from Seattle anyways. He was in the 90s last Sunday too. I also think he's had a tough time warming up and getting loose in this weather for some reason.
  15. Ugh. Scariest person in the Twins lineup coming up and I'm not even kidding. I'm not sure how that guy isn't starting on some crappy team.
  16. KC up 4-0 on the Indians. Unfortunately Joe Mays is on teh bump for the Royals.
  17. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 11:36 PM) Well, Hunter has 4 more homers and 9 more RBI's than Podsednik. He also plays gold glove defense in CF. Batting average is overrated. What the hell does that have to do with anything. I was just showing tots of players go into big slumps. And to show how Pods is starting to bounce that average back up. Not comparing players. You are always trying to start stuff. It's so hilarious.
  18. Pods now has a higher ave. than Torii Hunter. Thats interesting.
