Roy Halladay?
Right now I'd give it to Jose because Roy can't stay healthy. They are both right up there when both are on and healthy though.

Well then, either the Twins are just really, really bad at the plate, or Contreras is very very good on the mound. Thanks.
Contreras is one of the best pitchers in the league. Maybe the best righty.

It's not so much AJ's fault as it is Jose, Freddy and Javier's fault. All I ask is that they attmept to hold a runner on.
Jose tried a little bit today. He just doesn't have a great move, and he's slow to the plate. I'd much rather he focus on the hitter like he has been doing.

Making contact >>>> leaving the bat on your shoulder. If you can't figure out what he's trying to say then you're pretty damn stupid.
I figure that anybody past kindergarten could figure that out. Unfortunately hitting is not as easy as just that.

There's no comparison between a guy who's a proven slugger in the majors and a guy who's never proven he can play at this level. I know there are a lot of guys who are hitting below .200 in baseball right now....but I doubt many of them look like a pitcher trying to bat like Anderson.
He said you can't have a guy hitting under .200 in your lineup in May. THe world champions did last year. Just wanted to point that out.
And can I vote for you to become our next hitting coach? These nuggets like, "You can't get a hit without swiging the bat' could really help our hitters.
QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 12:39 PM)
At that point they will have to. You can not have a guy in your starting line up in May hitting less that .200 unless it is a pitcher. That is just embarassing.
Jermaine Dye was last year I believe.

Nope. Jenks has had plenty of work. Thornton's someone who could have used an inning. It's fine though...as long as he doesn't get hurt.
He has said he needs regular work to keep building up his arm, so it could be that he wanted to get in in a game like this.

Get the kid some work. Not that big of a deal in my mind.
Oh, I don't mind at all. Bobby could have said that he wanted some work today.
