  1. I think Brice is goin gto be in winston.
  2. The Warthogs, Barons and Knights websites have got stores that you can order card sets thru. This can get you started before the season.
  3. Rogo deserves to be there as do many others. As the players move up, I still watch their progress and cheer them on. Hopefully, I can make a trip to carolina when they play the Mudcats. But i will see them when they get to Charlotte. Best of luck to all my former Warthogs!
  4. Have any of you ever walked through a nursing home? I have work in a couiple and some people are just shells and it's most often a blessing when they go. If we can put a loved pet down, we should have the compassion to do the same with our loved ones. That being said, I don't think I could "put down" my child or anyone personally. I watched my mother-in-law die a slow, painful death. Hospice is a wonderful thing.
  5. Field's HR flew right oover the center field wall! Boy, it was beautiful! And Tracey jammed that ball right up van every tail (literally)! GO HOGS!!!!
  6. shaffer looks like a beanpole and rarely gets to play. Mostly fill in to give some one a day off.
  7. School started around here ( W-S) on Aug. 9th. My daughter's 16th birthday. Happy freakin' birthday!
  8. Sorry I missed you guys. You would know the one day I have 2 days in a row off and go away, things happen. Hope you guys had a great time and GO HOGS!!!! BTW, You had to do PBP better than Alan York!
  9. Did any of you ever see the Drew Carrey Las Vegas show on HBO or Showtime. Joe walsh was on there and was funny as hell. There is a part where they do a story and Joe ends it with something about brainworm and drugs. I swear he was under the influence of something. I laughed until i was crying!
  10. Just back from the game in Kannapolis. Hogs took it 3 to 2. I see major talent on both teams. It will be a good season.
  11. I know sombody who used the call Baj " The Package" because of his profile .
  12. Heath was in W-S mostly during a losing season and had no run support.
  13. Thanks for the roster. It's not up on the hogs site yet. Today, there is an exhibition game at Kannapolis vs. the Hogs. Guess we'll go and pray the wnd does'nt blow us all away. Go Hogs!!
  14. That bites about Eric, but it's not surprising. He didn't get much playing time last year and mostly as DH. I can't remember numbers, but after 3 years at W-S, he was due to move up or out.

  16. Yeah, I live in W-S. Most of the boys know me, if not by name, but by face. I go to the games as much as I can with my friend and our two girls, aged 15. The umpires know me by the abuse I give them. I travel to Charlotte as I can, Went to a few road games during play-offs and we loved it. Always make the trip to Myrtle Beach during the summer too. PS tahnks for the tips on who to watch for.
  17. Josh Fields, who closed all 5 games of the Carolina Leaague playoffs, to win Mvp. Don't know pitches or velocity, but great relief pitcher.
  18. Spidale deserves a chance to move up, as do a lot of the guys. Too bad there is not enough room for all the deserving players. By the way, great pic of Honel, I'm going to miss him in Winston-Salem.
  19. Is that Brad Murray and Francisco Lebron on the Bristol team? Haven't heard from them lately and wondering where they were. Thanks a bunch!
  20. Was at the double header on Thursday, Stumm started wth a pitch that was 111 mph and went down to mid-90's. Not to bad. The hogs took 3 out of 4. Still in 1st place.
  21. what was acevas doing playing 1st base? He's a catcher.
  22. As a selfish Hog fan, I would like to see him stay, but I fully expect changes soon. If he goes , we all wish him well. He just got his 26th stolen base for the year and he pulled a nice home run off the scoreboard yesterday. Oh well, he deserves to go it.
  23. I was at the hogs game on Sunday and KW was in the stands watching and talking on his cell phone. He left before the game ended. Wasn't 100% sure it was him until he left the park through the Hogs clubhouse. By the way, hogs were ahead until a suck *** umpire called a foul ball fair. Went way downhill from there.
  24. you wouldn't do that to poor Birmingham, would you?
