  1. QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 10:05 PM)
  2. Kansas city is already enjoying the benefits of knocking out Jermaine. Nice.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 03:40 PM) No, you wait until you get a situation with 2 outs and no one on, and then you hit the batter. It would be nice to have that opportunity with Gordon up next time.
  4. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 03:37 PM) nice pitch carrasco, pussy that's a big NO NO on Ozzies team. f*** You Carrasco!
  5. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 03:35 PM) Leave Danks in there to put one of them on their ass That. But getting even with a team in the basement really doesn't make me feel any better for some reason.
  6. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 03:32 PM) It's your time to shine BA f***
  7. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 01:46 PM) The movie was incredibly breathtaking and Ledger's stunning role could never be matched by the likes of a mere mortal.
  8. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jul 19, 2008 -> 12:35 PM) We all laughed when KW said Detriot getting Miggy Cabrera put them in a better position to compete with the White Sox... They had fantastic field position all last year and were still god awful. 7-9 with NO Line that resulted in poor running and poor passing games. A defense that was about 60% at best. With a improved line and healthy D I like the Bears Chances in the NFC.
  9. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Jul 19, 2008 -> 06:41 AM) Terrible. Quite possibly the worst movie ever created. This includes Strange Wilderness. I had to remind myself it was Heath Ledger playing joker and not some retard with makeup on. need attention?
  10. love the pencil trick...
  11. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 18, 2008 -> 06:57 PM) I went with Epstein. He's currently the Championship Guru. not a bad pick, he seems to mix vets with youth pretty well too.
  12. Why not? Defense is HALF the Battle. IF (and that is a very possible if) the Bears have the # 1 ranked D in 2008 they are going to be 9-7 or 10-6 at the very worst. Too many NFL fans (and I blame fantasy football for this) are too in love with offense and forget defense. Don't forget, the Bears will have a strong Special teams unit too. I am fine with the offense if the Oline improves. That is my current biggest concern. Too bad most NFL fans don't realize it all starts at the Line. They buy into the Media QB hype. We all seen good rex with a good line and bad rex with a bad line. Anyone remember Tom Brady during last years superbowl? He looked horrible because NE lost the battle at the Line.
  13. Note: Bill Stoneman (angels) ,Larry Beinfest(marlins) and Terry Ryan (twins) would have been considered if they were still active.
  14. Living out of state, it would not be as hard on me. If I still lived inside the city, I would have to take a looong vacation. Sox fans who never lived inside the city or surrounding areas will never fully understand the whole sox/cubs thing.

  16. When I was 15, some guy in an AOL chatroom named rangercal almost got me in a lot of trouble when I cursed him out and he then proceeded to copy and paste my rant and send it to the AOL primary account (my aunt) . Lucky for me, I knew her password and deleted the email. To this day, my best friend from high school and I always remember that silly screen name.
  17. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 17, 2008 -> 04:56 PM) Brandon Lloyd has struggled to do anything the past couple of seasons. Therefor, relying on him to be a #1 WR would be like the Bears expecting Orton to put up Peyton Manning or Tom Brady like numbers (in fact, even worse, it would be like expecting Hunter Hillmeyer to be Brian Urlacher). Mark Bradley has had 3 years in this league and has yet to prove himself as a reliable #3, let alone a #1. Bennet is a 3rd round draft pick who has yet to prove anything in the NFL The fact that the Bears have to count on any of these guys to be a #1 is absolutely freaking ridiculous. Llyod May not even make the roster. I expect the least out of him. Bradley has never had a real opportunity to perform since his injury. Bennet may have the talent of a # 1 eventually, but this should not be the year to find out. It's really Bradley or Bust. As scary as that is, it is not any worse than relying on a unproven Berrian at the start of 2006. Olsen/Clark/Hester/Jones need to step up on O obviously.
  18. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 17, 2008 -> 04:27 PM) Angelo made a huge mistake when he didn't franchise Berrian. He could have signed the one year tender and the Bears would have had a year to be able to better develop and evaluate the WR's on roster. Instead the Bears are left with s*** in the WR cupboard (at least in terms of anyone who has proven anything in the NFL and yes, Booker is s*** if you are expecting him to be a #1 WR; As a 3rd stringer, he's freaking tremendous). Not Franchising Berrian Hurts, not matching the Vikes offer doesn't hurt at all. Booker better not be the # 1. I expect him to replace Moose and that's about it. That's what he is fully capable of. Hoping any of Bradley,Bennet or Llyod emerge as a # 1 is a crapshoot. But, it would not be a bigger surprise than when Berrian emerged out of no where a few years back. Having 2 good TE's makes this unproven WR corps a little easier to swallow.
  19. QUOTE (DBAH0 @ Jul 17, 2008 -> 03:51 PM) Are you happy with how the Bears have dealt with the QB/WR situation? The QB situation I am fine with. I don't think anyone in the draft is going to be playoff QB right now. I would rather go with Rex than what was out there. The Wr situation was a bit tough. No way Berrian was worth what the Vikings gave him, so I am not sad to see him go at that price. I am very pleased with Booker taking over for Muhaumed. It basically comes down to Bradley/Lloyd/Bennett taking over for Berrian. Everyone seems to forget that Berrian would have never had an opportunity to begin with if Bradley never got hurt. If Bradley stays healthy, I am pretty confident that he will do a decent job replacing Berrian. Lloyd and Bennett are Dark horses out of all of this. Who knows what will become of Devin Hester with the WR corps. Also, look for the Bears to run many 2 TE sets. I was most concerned with runing back and Guard. With Kevin Jones abroad, my biggest concern is gone. So as a Bear fan ,with a Healthy D and 2 New RBs I am pretty excited about the new season. Anything short of the playoffs would be very disappointing.
  20. Alexei Could have mad the web gems list. Oops, forgot he was not a redsox, Yankee or Cub.
  21. Love the Move. Very happy with the draft/off season. I just wish we would have signed 1 more Guard.
