  1. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 12:31 PM) Not to s*** on yours, but this guy is a grade A talent that has been hurt. He was supposed hit like crazy when he came up. Take a gander at his minor league numbers. And Walk has stated time and time again, he doesnt touch young hitters because they "got here with their swing". Hence why he didnt work with Anderson for the longest time. I just don't know Why you are b****ing about something that has not even happened.
  2. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 01:14 PM) "Carlos, you see how that ball barely went over the fence. See me after the game. Mike Gellinger just told me that the problem is your swing is too level. In the majors, we dip that back shoulder, clear your hips, and elevate the ball." Greg Walker "But Coach, in Arizona, they told us to square the ball up, and drive through the ball with a level swing. " Carlos "How many world series did your hitting coach in Arizona get to architect like I did" Walk "Well, it has worked for me so far" Carlos "The pitchers will adjust to you, mindless power never slumps. Think about it kid if you want a long career with the whitesox." Walk "Coach what is this card you gave me, its says Think Dan Ryan. What does that mean?" Carlos "Its a little memorization technique I use. When you lift and pull, aim for the Dan Ryan. Good news, Mike just told me we have some video for you to watch. Have you ever heard of one of the best hitters in baseball named Rob Deer. His swing is exactly what I want to see yours turn into. You have to unlock your power" Walk Not To s*** on your post,,, But.. CQ's Hitting a lot better on the sox than he ever did in 'Zona.

  6. QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 12:58 PM) Yeah, my mom thinks he's hot. Same with My GF. I don't know why it doesn't bother me?

  8. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 29, 2008 -> 11:05 AM) Ever. There's no chance in hell the Wii could handle GTA IV. Seriously. I obviously loved the original Super Mario Kart as a kid, but never got into the second wave. Now THAT'S the real deal! I mean, I am deciding between a ps3 and a xbox as a second console. I may lean towards the ps3 for it's blu ray capabilities. I realize GTA4 will only be available for ps3 and xbox.
  9. That's too bad Frank did not have a chance at the Cycle.
  10. I decided to purchase a wii instead of a xbox way back when so no GTA4 for me(yet). I did purchase mario Kart and the online play is pretty sweet. I also purchased 3 extra wheels for when company comes over.
  11. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 08:18 PM) Frank Thomas just reached out for a pitch against Jon Garland and hit a fly ball down the right field line that barely landed fair and barely eluded Vlad Guerreo. Once it got by Vladdy. Frank ended up with an RBI triple. His 1st 3 bagger since 2002. 2nd since 1998. Go Frank!
  12. anyone have any idea how long this delay might last?
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 06:10 PM) Can we trade Ozzie to the NL so his hard on for bunting would be more suitable? Game 3 Vs Bos in the 2005 ALDS says hi
  14. QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 06:09 PM) Normally I would be upset, but this is just laughable. 70 wins here we come!!! leave
  15. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 06:06 PM) I hope nobody blames Ozzie for that. BA has got to hit that f***ing ball.
  16. QUOTE (Frankensteiner @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 04:38 PM) Like I said a couple of weeks ago: Bobby Jenks = fat Billy Koch. s***ty fastball, funny beard. umm , no. If Koch learned how to pitch, he would still be in the game. Bobby pitches, Koch Throws.
  17. QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 04:32 PM) Ugh, If we lose this ones on Aram Jenks. We had the lead
  18. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 11:26 AM) The goal for the front page is to first and foremost provide all of the members with unique content and perspectives that are different than what you see on ESPN or the Tribune (we won't be able to do game recaps like them, but we the fans, have a very good knowledge of the game and an understanding of the franchise and can hit on topics that maybe a general fan isn't as interested in, but a die-hard fan is really interested in). We also hope to eventually expand and have some cool multimedia stuff on the front-page as well as player interviews. I hope the front page will continue to evolve and the other network sites will continue to grow and that in the end, this will become a leading sports network in Chicago (ie, a place where the die-hards go to get news/info/perspective/interaction). You mean we won't hear the crap we hear from ESPN? Like Mike Golic saying this morning the bears D is aging?
  19. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 10:45 AM) Although I will get it fixed...I swear. Ranger, when you say it in IE did the site look better, or at least better than 1997. I'm not going to say we built a super fancy site, we went with the clean look that is really easy to update which we hope makes it easier to provide as much edgy content on the Chicago Sports clubs. I like the clean look. I was just commenting on the apperance from Firefox. I think your network has the ability to become a Chicago Version of Real GM.
  20. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 28, 2008 -> 01:57 AM) So if you're looking at it in Firefox, that's your problem. Bingo. Thanks
