  1. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 02:33 PM) It's too late. Someone already did. The poll is already lopsided. It wasn't me. I'd be able to have Dye up a thousands not by a couple hundred.
  2. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 04:40 PM) Even though Miguel Cabrera is more worthy right. People want to see Griffey because he used to be one of the best in the game and is just now showing some of that great offense he had in the 90's. The guy can't play defense anymore and doesn't compare to Cabrera numbers wise. HR: Tie RBI: Griffey by 1 Runs: Cabrera by 9 AVG: Cabrera by 60 points OBP: Cabrera by 44 points OPS: Cabrera by 112 points The All-Star game has become a farce. I don't understand how anyone in their right mind would vote Griffey over Cabrera. (unless you're a huge Griff fan) But still... Miguel deserves to start.
  3. QUOTE(qwerty @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 04:35 AM) Four of the six games were double digit wins, game five was a one point game and it was the most exciting out of the bunch and yesterday was a 9 point win. I would like to see some more competive games in the finals. I don't know about you. I did not really watsh the first 4 games. You can't argue about the last couple games, very exciting basketball. How often do you see a game seven? This is only the second time for me . Usually the home team is a heavy favorite to win game seven. In this case though, it's a coin flip. I did not expect to watch much of this years finals. I will watch game seven in it's entirety. Which finals in recent memry would you rank higher? The Finals over the years: 2003-04 Detroit Pistons Los Angeles Lakers 4-1 2002-03 San Antonio Spurs New Jersey Nets 4-2 2001-02 Los Angeles Lakers New Jersey Nets 4-0 2000-01 Los Angeles Lakers Philadelphia 76ers 4-1 1999-00 Los Angeles Lakers Indiana Pacers 4-2 1998-99 San Antonio Spurs New York Knicks 4-1 1997-98 Chicago Bulls Utah Jazz 4-2 1996-97 Chicago Bulls Utah Jazz 4-2 1995-96 Chicago Bulls Seattle SuperSonics 4-2 1994-95 Houston Rockets Orlando Magic 4-0 This is the closest finals in 10 years. All of the finals listed here (aside from chi/utah) were pretty lopsided .
  4. I have to go with detroit. This has been one of the best finals in recent memory. Road team winning game 6 facing elimination? You can't ask for more.
  5. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 12:36 AM) Wow, Randa is showing some power this season. He just hit his 11th homer tonight. Joe Randa .292 AVG .362 OBP .494 SLG .856 OPS 11 HR 38 RBI 26 BB 39 SO He is definately the guy we should go after if Crede's bat goes dead. He is cheap (1-year, $2.15 million contract) and I doubt he would cost much in the way of prospects. http://www.forums.mlb.com/n/mb/message.asp...g=13487.1&ctx=0 It looks like twin fans may want randa too
  6. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 12:52 AM) Who the hell are you? Thats steve the Newbie
  7. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 11:40 PM) LOL, D-Rays fans at their MLB.com message board seem to think Piniella sabotaged the game on purpose to get back at management. They think he told Travis Harper to throw BP to the Yankees. Seriously I would not be surprised ........
  8. who ever is starting league 2 pm me when the info is available.
  9. I wonder if the will play the tsn radio during the late hours.
  10. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 10:27 PM) He doesn't. The Rays took a huge step forward last year in their overall development as a franchise and as a team, and Piniella wanted ownership to spend a little money to give the team a chance to contend, or atleast finish somewhere around .500. Nearly the exact opposite happened, as the biggest bat they brought in was Danny Bautista, and unfortunately for them, he retired in ST for whatever reason. I dont know who should have been more excited. Bautista in playing for the D-rays or the D-rays in gettind Bautista.
  11. QUOTE(Be Good @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 10:28 PM) Who cares what those two says, are they Terry Francona. good point/ What if he picks clement ?

  15. QUOTE(ottawa_sox @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 09:40 PM) Starting to have that 1993 feel. 26 over. Man this is getting crazy!
  16. QUOTE(Spod=Ratings @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 09:38 PM) :headshake ouch! 13 runs in the 8th 20-11
  17. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 09:37 PM) Garland's got a shot at 13, 14, or maybe even 15 wins by the AS game. You gonna start someone other than the 14 game winner? I want garland in as much as the next guy but Halladay is 10-4 with a era that is almost a run lower than Jon's.
  18. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 09:36 PM) YAWN, another win, nothing to complain about, the Man on the mound tomorrow, Twins losing, Cleveland lost. This is so boring. I hope 2005 is the most boring season based on that!
  19. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 09:31 PM) Damn Yankees 19-11 still going
  20. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 09:33 PM) Hey Jon...how you feel about starting the game in Detroit on July 12? realistically, We have to hope halladay has a couple bad starts before then
