8. After looking over these polls it is obvious that their are more passionate sox fans out ther than cub fans. Another reason I'm ashamed to be a cub fan Submitted by: Ranger 1:30 AM CDT, Jun 18, 2005 that was me lol (dont worry never wanted to ever be a cub fan just wanted to f*** with their heads)

I wish umps would just be consistant. They change their calls and strike zones all the time.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 11:30 PM) I'm down. I don't care how childish and stupid it sounds, I want to win this s***. I have so many reasons why I hate the cubs and their fans. I use memoreis as motivation.

QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 11:23 PM) I cannot either. I mean basically we havent had anything to do except flood one player for the past few days. I like the catcher pool because there was 2 sox to flood. These are going to be even better with 5+ sox to flood. We should start pm'ing each other and maybe assign each one of us with a starting pitcher, an outfielder and a bullpen person. As long as we can all help MB. MB should have double the votes of who ever comes in 2nd which should be garland.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 11:22 PM) That should be julys calendar schedule desktop

QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 11:14 PM) I was doing that with Cloudy yesterday. It was very fun barret flooders that just sounds funny lol

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 11:14 PM) They have seperate polls for all outfield positions LF/CF/RF. For Starting pitchers it is one big poll including all ten starters from the two Chicago teams. So it should finish: Buehrle Garland Garcia Contreras Hernandez Then they have 6 bullpen spots available and a poll including 12 pitchers out of the pen from Chicago. So it should finish: Hermanson Politte Cotts Marte Shingo Vizcaino Then you have a poll for all around bench. Sox Vs. Cubs. Sox will win. And finally a poll for Manager Ozzie Vs. Dusty. Ozzie all the way. I can't wait!

QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 11:05 PM) No, we can throw about 2,000 votes at a person in about 10 minutes. I was voting with cloudy today and votes seemed to be jumping 10 per second between us. lol

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 11:00 PM) SP/RP/OF are one big poll. Gonna take some planning if you guys wanna take all 3 OFers we can easily do this with 1 person. since there are over 5 of us, we are set.
-
kalapse, do you know if there gonna have 3 seperate polls for outfielder or just 1 poll and the top 3 get it. How do you think they are going to do the polls for sps and rps?

*IF* The sox made it to the series....

QUOTE(Antonio Osuna @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 10:53 PM) I will congratulate myself on never having jixed it by making posts like this before the season is even halfway over. Two bad series for us and that lead could vanish. Like that. Twins were 8.5 games back at the All-Star break in 2003. Never, EVER underestimate them. I lost 3 tvs in 2003. I have 4 holes in the wall too. -

QUOTE(drowninginflame @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 10:51 PM) Me, I am basing the vacation time I have left on the world series, if the white sox make it I am traveling to whatever city it would be held. Hopefully the American League will win the All Star game and I won't have to travel anywhere. I've waited my whole life for this, I ain't gonna miss it. * Hypothetically speaking * Anyone else wanna join me? I swear I will hitch hike if I had too. -
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 10:46 PM) it sucks being in Canada for the weekend and missing a game like this Oh well if the royals can sweep the dodgers so can we royals sweep dodgers, sox sweep dodgers, sox sweep royals the royals are hot so I say we take 2 of 3

QUOTE(Texsox @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 09:42 PM) What would you say to 9 teams concentrates the talent and makes every team tougher? 30 team = 150 starters. 10 teams = 120 total roster spots. Imagine contraction right now with 66% of the NBA players out of work. Starters are now 12th men. I think coaching would play a greater roll with fewer teams. No way to "sneak up on a team". I would make the argument that the 50's had less talent. Someone like Randy brown would have been a starter back then. The celtics probably had 3 or 4 of the top 15 players in the league. Russel and cousy were probably 2 of the top 10.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 09:10 PM) I'm so proud. yas, you accidently typed that in green serioulsy though.... It's harmless fun with the cubune. Cub fans would do what where doing in a heart beat if they had the chance.
-
I say phil. Everyone says how phil had mj-scottie then kobe -shaq. Red had Bill russell who was a man among boys. Bob Cousy , sam jones, kc jones were also part of that great Dynast. Plus wasn't there only like 9 teams? You don't think that was a factor in winning so many titles? Phil did it with 27-30 teams in the league. Dont forget MJ,Scottie,Shaq, Kobe never won without phil. The lakers won with phil his first 3 years with the lakers. They could not even reach the finals without him.

Who's the shortstop on your All-City team? 0.2% Neifi Perez, Cubs (6 responses) 99.8% Juan Uribe, White Sox (2500 responses) 2506 total responses

QUOTE(Cloudyguy09 @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 05:58 PM) Vote Juan Uribe and vote often!!! watch the totals go up This is fun lol

1. Jay, One great half a season does not make a player. Derrek's never even touched 40 homers or an All-Star game. He probably will this year, but a lot can happen. Konerko's a proven commodity. Submitted by: Munchie 12:35 PM CDT, Jun 18, 2005 2. Hard to believe I come here and see Cub fans complaining and whining. No wait, that always happens. Stone, goat, Bartman.... Submitted by: enchanter 11:56 AM CDT, Jun 18, 2005 3. Wow Iguchi 4571 votes to 50 for Todd Walker, why are you guys even wasting time putting these polls up? Submitted by: Reality Check 11:05 AM CDT, Jun 18, 2005 :finger 4. UNLV When will you understand that Cub fans DONT care about the Sox AT ALL...or their fans. I care about what the Cubs do and their division rivals...the Sox are and always will always be a waste of my energy. Submitted by: MD 7:51 AM CDT, Jun 18, 2005 5. Alright Sox are dominating the polls Submitted by: NY Sox fan 7:30 AM CDT, Jun 18, 2005 6. Paul Konerko has beat out Lee as best in Chicago by the fans vote. Wow, how ignorant. The Cubs infield and catcher are better than the sox, the of is average for both. So far the sox pitching has been the reason they keep winning. Fans votes don't win games. Look out the Twins are coming. Submitted by: Tony 7:23 AM CDT, Jun 18, 2005 7. If you Cub fans are so worried about some guy taking 30 minutes out of his day to mess with a Trib poll, why don't you find a geek Cub fan and have him rig it too. Then we can have rig wars. Submitted by: whitesoxwired.com 1:51 AM CDT, Jun 18, 2005 8. After looking over these polls it is obvious that their are more passionate sox fans out ther than cub fans. Another reason I'm ashamed to be a cub fan Submitted by: Ranger 1:30 AM CDT, Jun 18, 2005 9. Konerko over a Triple Crown candidate? Have some sense. Maybe a lot of Sox over most Cubs players on this team, but NOT 1B, duh! Submitted by: Intelligent baseball fan 12:58 AM CDT, Jun 18, 2005 10. Cub "fans" are to busy searching for something non-baseball-related to use to make fun of some Sox fans about (i.e. haircuts and clothing styles) to have noticed that Konerko has only one fewer HR than Lee and that Paulie has lead his team into first place - the most valuable stat of all. Submitted by: Native Chicagoan 11:03 PM CDT, Jun 17, 2005 11. Real ballpark this weekend, I thought the series was being played at me. Submitted by: US Cellphone Field 9:30 PM CDT, Jun 17, 2005

QUOTE(knightni @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 03:28 PM) Websites can tell what websites that other people come from to get to theirs. Someone posted a link here at the beginning of the thread... Everytime it is clicked, the Admin of the site gets a "Guest arrived from http://www.soxtalk.com" in their website tracking program. My friend has his own site and has told me how it works. Remember Puckys? Im sure we are not the only site with a link to that site. I never used the link anyway. I set it as my homepage. I know the other guys who voted probably did the same thing.
