QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 10:30 PM) I think that anyone who just doesnt hate Eddy Curry, Qwerty and Wharris, know that a Dalembert Chandler combo is a serious downgrade from a Curry Chandler combo. Also keep in mind that Dalembert gets all his points from AI attracting all the defenders on him... and leaving Dalembert open for an easy dunk. If Qwerty still thinks Dalembert/Chandler combo is better after everything has been said in this thread its prob simply because he is 18 right now and a teenager and at this point of his life he thinks he knows everything Eddy is an integral part of our offense. He generates 1/4 of our offense on many nights. Dalembart is not a key to phillys offense. He does get a lot of easy dunks after the defense is busy worrying about AI driving. Eddy has to earn his points when plays are drawn up for him(and is at a 53% clip) . We dont draw up many plays for Tyson and we definately won't draw up many for Dalemburt. How would that help? Maybe we should go after Ben Wallace so we can have 3 players who do the same things on the court at once. Maybe we can get 120 rebounds a game that way. Who cares about offense as long as you get a few more rebounds every game. Again...... wtf is he talking about? -

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 07:53 PM) now i know you like Dalembert and he is a solid player but thats dumb to think that a Dalembert/Chandler combo would be better than a Curry/Chandler one. no s***. I dont know wtf he's thinking. -

QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 06:09 PM) A chandler/dalembert front court is better than a curry/chandler front court. I am also very scared about signing curry to a crazy deal and have him die on us. I mean come on he has heart problems at the age of 22? Not a good sign if you ask me. I an sure we will definitely have insurance on him if and when we resign him. Die on us? Thats really shallow, even from you. This is a f***en Human being dude. Thats f***ed up if all you worry is him dying on us for a salary cap point of view. -

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:21 PM) Jordan was All NBA First team defense every year he played from the 87-88 season to the 97-98 season. He was also Defensive Player Of The Year in 1987. He is arguably the greatest defensive SG of all time. I think that he's unquestionably the greatest defensive SG, but I won't leave myself open to criticism from someone who witnessed Walt Frazier. He Was the greatest defensive sg off all time. He was not getting credit for it though in his early seasons because his super explosive offense overshadowed it .

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:18 PM) Per 48 minutes Z still has more boards, blocks, and less turnovers by a safe margin. another reason why cleveland should not be slipping like they are.
-
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:14 PM) Pre-Allstar break 38.2 MPG Post-Allstar break 28.9 MPG so now minutes matter? with curry- Z comparisons we had its irrelevant?

We need curry. If curry plays in the Miaimi game we would have had a whole new game plan and we might have just won that game. Miami has no inside prescence without shaq and memphis really exploited that yesterday. Just like we could have with curry. -
I never said lebron is not good or great for that matter. Thats just too much hype for a 20 year old. I swear, if espn made a top 50 players of all time James would already be on that list. MJ had to earn everything he got. He was criticized about his D in the mid to late 80's . Then Criticized about not winning a ring. He was still in Magic and Larry's shadow until he earned the spotlight as the best player. Lebron is truly one of the best right now. He will be the best within 1-2 years. Im just tired of the media stuffing all this second coming to jordan s*** down our throats. Jordan may have played on 3 losing teams with the bulls but he never let the bulls lose enough where they missed the playoffs (especially if they were as high as the 4th seed) .

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 03:27 AM) And to all those who think he's going to bolt to Lakerland, answer me this question. Would you want to play with Kobe Bryant? what if LA trades Kobe for some picks and signs lebron to the max?
-
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 03:12 AM) Boston is not the team Chicago wants to play 1st round. On their day, the Celtics can beat anyone is this league, and they've got multiple options. They're my sleeper team in the East. They could also lose to anyone too. They are very streaky. I dont think they could beat miami no matter how great they are playing at the time.
-
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 03:11 AM) When did I ever say that? You guys struggled to beat us when we were missing Hill, Turkoglu, Chrisite and DeClercq, even though you guys are missing Curry and Deng. Let's look at the comparisons here. PG - Chris Duhon vs. Chauncey Billups vs. Dwayne Wade. Wade wins by a country mile, Billups in 2nd and Duhon in 3rd. SG - Kirk Hinrich vs. Rip Hamilton vs. Daryl Jones Hamilton gets my vote because he's taller, scores more, and is a better rebounder. Hinrich in a close 2nd, with Jones bringing up the rear. SF - Andres Nocioni vs. Tayshuan Prince vs. Eddie Jones Prince wins this easily. One of the best defensive SF's in the game, plus he's dramatically improved his scoring. Jones comes in 2nd, with Nocioni in last. PF - Antonio Davis vs. Rasheed Wallace vs. Udonis Haslem Wallace wins this for Detroit, one of the best turnaround jumpers in the game, and has real fitted in nicely with the Pistons. Haslem comes in 2nd, because he's a double - double threat every night, with Davis in last. C - Eddy Curry vs Ben Wallace vs. Shaquille O' Neal O' Neal wins this, because he's the most dominant big man in the game at his best. Wallace in 2nd because he's the best defensive big man in the game, and Curry in last, because he sucks at everything else other than scoring. Bench Chicago wins this easily with Gordon and Tyson Chandler alone. Detroit in 2nd with the capable backup options in the likes of Carlos Arroyo and Carlos Delfino with Miami in last. What does this all mean? Well a lot of you think you guys can beat Detroit in a playoff series because of what's happened in the regular season. I look at it this way. They're coming into form at the right time again. Rip Hamilton will post up on Kirk Hinrich all day long, and be able to score 20+ points reguarly. If the 2 Wallace's, can stop Chandler getting rebounds, and Delfino does his job defending Gordon off the bench, I can't see Chicago winning. They have too many scoring options for mine. Against the Heat, well Miami have Shaq and Wade, and that's going to be too much, and I think any reasonable Bulls fan is probably going to be able to see that. I was not debating anything you said in the past about the Buills. Just pretty much the majority of NBA fans. They have been proving everybody wrong all year. I do agree with your individual matchup assesements but I think the bulls have a better bench then Miami, and Detroit. I think that could make the match ups a lot closer than you think. I think the bulls can take miami to 6. With detroit I can see the bulls possibly pulling off a series win. They won't face detroit though .

QUOTE(BridgeportHeather @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 02:54 AM) Care to explain why you think we'll lose to Orlando AT HOME, when we've won both games against Orlando so far this season and are unstoppable at home at his present moment? after a Big Win in Washington they may have just a little let down against the non playoff but talented magic. I hope Im wrong. Its just a gut feeling.. -
