QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:18 AM) Three years down the road who will be a better over all player? Honestly. Im not denying that. But cmon . cant the mj comparisons wait until Lebron has played a playoff game?
-
QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:16 AM) How about you take a look at some of the records they got in with. 30-52 is just one of the bad seasons in jordan's early years. Dont tell me your counting the year where he missed about 80 % of the season?

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:13 AM) And yet suddenly that makes LeBron a bad player and not Jordan-esque because? The Cavs won 35 games last year, in LeBron's first year out of high school, and it was almost all because of his prescence. The year before, without LeBron, they won 17. The more than doubled their win total in their first year with LeBron. All this, and LeBron still can't legally drink. It is not hype. He is one of the best players in the NBA, and he is 20. Where are the Cavs without LeBron? One of the worst teams in the league at the very least. Lebron is going to be the best player in nba hype= ok Lebron is God, Lebron is going to be the best of all time = over hype

QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:11 AM) Pitch counts are retarded. agreed. They might as well count bullpen pitches if they want to get technical. -
QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:05 AM) Hell, I'll even root for Carlos Lee when he faces the Flubbs. I did today. and plan to do it 17 more times this year.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:04 AM) How were the bulls doing when jordan first got there? He has ilgauskas then.. gooden...? The team sucks. Jordan never missed the Playoffs.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:02 AM) Not hype... any one who thinks that knows nothing about basketball. Hows cleveland doing?

Hype.

QUOTE(BridgeportHeather @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 12:50 AM) Which brings up one of the biggest beefs I have with the playoff seedings. Why should Boston be seeded higher than us just because they won their division, when we will finish with a better record than them, DESERVING that #3 seed? Here's what I'm thinking...Guarantee all division winners a playoff spot; but, seed them according to their records! I agree. the only thing they have right is the #6 seed would have home court if they have a better record than the # 3 . Boston would be 5th 6th or 7th seed if things were done right.

QUOTE(BridgeportHeather @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 12:47 AM) Not to compare a rookie to a legend, but Gordon is on his way. His fearless attitude bears striking resemblance of "His Airness." You have to Love Ben. He never complains about coming off the bench. Ever. No matter ho successful he is becoming. True team Player.

QUOTE(BridgeportHeather @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 12:46 AM) Funny thing, after next season, he will bolt for LA and join Kobe. Afterall, he won't wanna stay with Cleveland's situation, and he wants to be in the "spotlight." LA is the PERFECT fit for him... He most likely will go to a big market. New York -- Over the cap until Lebron is close to 30 Chicago--- Too many young guys of our own to Lock up LA Clips--- I Think not La Lakers-- If he can co exist with kobe... Bingo. Maybe they trade Kobe 1st.

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 12:45 AM) The NBA is still looking for another Jordan.........and not finding one. Lebron May be the best player in the league soon... But Their will never be another MJ. If anything , I think Dwayne wade should be the face of the league.

QUOTE(BridgeportHeather @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 12:37 AM) Well, on CSN's Sports Nite, they interviewed Stern, and he said he's pulling for our team. I did find it odd that ESPN didn't mention us in there little "blurb" though. I was waiting to hear "but, Chicago's in it, so the ratings won't take as big of a beating," and couldn't believe no mention was made of it. I think the whole Lebron hype is way overrated. Right now, that Cleveland organization is in total disarray that they wouldn't draw very high ratings if they DO make the playoffs. I don't see Cleveland making the playoffs, though, as New Jersey's been too hot down the stretch, and will pass them in a few more days. I do find it weird that Cleveland actually LED us a couple of weeks back...Oh, how the tables have turned. It's great for our Bulls to be going in to the playoffs on a hot streak instead of "backing in," like the Blackhawks did back in 2001-2002. Our Bulls definateley will have a "nothing to lose, all to gain" attitude come playoff time. Im tired of all the Lebron hype too. All he ever does is whine to the refs for calls all game every game.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 12:29 AM) No way Chicago beats Miami or Detroit in a 7 game series. Book it. No way chicago plays .500 basketball No way they have a winning record in Feb No way They they go on 5 , 7, and 9 game winning streaks this year No way they dont have a losing record vs the west No way they they win without deng No way they get homecourt in the 1st round No way they reach the 3rd best record in the conference Book it. Oh Wait...........................

QUOTE(BridgeportHeather @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 12:21 AM) Does everyone realize that we're the biggest market in the playoffs this year? I realized that 2nite Greg anthony on espn was saying how much the league is going to hurt not having NY, LA, or lebron in the playoffs :headshake never mentioned how adding chicago could help. Screw anthony and espn. Why do I still watch?

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 12:28 AM) Jusst watched "LaChoy" Hawkins blow another save Just saw Foulke implode in Boston Wickman got plastered the other day Someone on BBTN was commenting that closers around the whole leauge have been snakebitten. Looks like it's not just a Chicago thing. dont forget rivera

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 12:18 AM) Ya, just saw the highlights. WTF are they throwing this guy fastballs for? I'll never understand baseball. just like shingo throwing 3 pitches belt high middle of the plate 2 days ago.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 8, 2005 -> 06:10 PM) I love being just a little south of Bridgeport. The weather is a lot more temperate diring the winter, like 70 degrees warmer. as long as Im close to the sox it does not matter how the weather is. (only if there playing bad it matters)

QUOTE(BridgeportHeather @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 12:13 AM) Now NOBODY likes Timo more than Hawk...I can STILL hear "C'MON TIMO!!!!" in my head. IMHO, Timo won't get any more than 1 start per 10 days, and even less when Frank's back (1 start every 2 weeks). He's great to have on the bench tho, as well as in case of injury (knock on wood that that doesn't happen). Timo May see Charlotte this year.

I was more worried about contreras than garland. I hope Garland pitches close to what Jose did the other day.
