QUOTE(hitlesswonder @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 03:58 PM) Erstad makes that catch too. So does Terrero. Whoopee.... Erstad has been getting god-like jumps on the ball.

QUOTE(Wedge @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 03:57 PM) I just think based on how he looks now and last year, that it's a pretty big assumption that he'll hit 270. I could be wrong, but that's just what my eyes tell me. Dude, hes a prospect who isnt getting regular playing time. He needs to play everyday on some level. If he played every day and hit lower in the lineup like he should, he could do it.

QUOTE(Wedge @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 03:53 PM) Nope, Seinfeld. Kramer gets on as an extra in a Woody Allen movie. Eventually, he gets the line "These pretzels are making me thirsty!" I coulda sworn homer did that line in a different context.

QUOTE(hitlesswonder @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 03:51 PM) That's exactly why Anderson needs to be out of the organization. He's not Guillen's kind of player, Guillen doesn't trust him the field and if Anderson will ever learn to be a quality player it won't happen sitting on the Sox bench. Anderson is worse than useless to Sox and he has to go. He needs to spend time in AAA. Thats all, he needs constant playing time to develop. Terrero would be ideal to come in off the bench sparingly. And actually I think Ryan Sweeney would be a more ideal #2 hitter than BA.

QUOTE(Wedge @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 03:50 PM) Nice Seinfeld reference. Simpsons
-
For the organization its better for BA to be in AAA learning his craft while Luis Terrero is up on the big squad for the once a week start. Its just better business.
-
BA may be the worst #2 hitter we have

QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 03:40 PM) I think that goes for most of the A's. Probably true, though I like Swisher and Chavez.
-
QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 03:40 PM) idk, why do you? He annoys the s*** out of me. Its so weird, I just want to plunk him.
-
Why do I want to punch jason Kendall so bad?
-
Our offense will come around eventually, it just will with how good these guys are. But we need to win with pitching while they arent hitting.
-
Right in your wheelhouse!!!! Come ON!!!!
-
man, i love Uribes at bats so far. At least he is looking at pitches and hitting some of them hard.
-
QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 03:29 PM) I can tell you from all my days in the bigs, its hard to swing a bat when its cold Apparently the team from Houston is more acclimated to the cold weather.
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 03:27 PM) I honestly wish there was a place where we could all discuss this issue, but I know we can't do that on this site (and I understand why). mmmhmmm. Theres ALOT of suspects in the Bay area.
-
QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 03:26 PM) OK, I got it now. MB just cant pitch the 1st inning. So we need to have someone from the BP pitch the first and then bring him in for long relief. Ok Pinella, also only YOUR team suffers from the cold weather.
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 03:26 PM) Chavez Touche
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 03:24 PM) Kielty seems not nearly as strong as he was about 3-4 years ago. I wonder why? Him and Bobby Crosby
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 03:23 PM) Let's hope they're just slumping and not beginning to show their age. They are. Konerko is one of the best hitters in the game today and is not past his prime yet. And he just cannot make contact with the ball at all. They should come around, lets hope its soon.
-
UGH middle of the order=black hole.
-
Man, Konerko sucks right now. Get in the cage Paulie and figure it out.
-
QUOTE(Jimbo @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 03:17 PM) I dont care what the A's approach is, they did enough "whatever" to take 2/3 from us. ugh. Reading is fundamental Jimbo. Come on.

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 02:40 PM) Garland was the same velocity he was at last year. Jenks showed last year that he lost a lot of velocity during the 2nd half of last season, and he was not nearly as effective. Between the hip issue and complaining of tightness this ST, we're just worried that he won't stay healthy this year. Even before the runs scored, people were asking last night what happened to Jenks fastball. Garland was at the same velocity he was at in April of last year. You can clearly see his velocity in 2005 and the end of 2006 ws higher. Just like Jenks gets in the heat.
-
QUOTE(Jimbo @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 03:14 PM) you can candycoat this any way you want....our team, which has had awesome pitching, cant hit worth s***. We look like the 2004 sox, homerun or naught Yes, but the complement was towards the A's offensive approach, nothing to do with our team whatsoever. You obviously didnt read the quote or anything behind it.

QUOTE(Jimbo @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 03:12 PM) they are still going to win the series, hitting or not. And that has what to do with "their approach in this series?"
