  1. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 01:17 PM) No doubt, not quite the breaking stuff Jenks has, but he's got very similar stuff and upside. No doubt, he has some nice complementary breaking balls.
  2. Zumaya should be closing for the Tigers by the ASB
  3. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 01:14 PM) Um...Rock...he's a major-league pitcher, you are missing the point. He the mop up reliever, secondary LOOGY.
  4. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 01:12 PM) I won't give you a break but I think you need a Reality Check. Logan made the Roster and earned his spot. He should play whenever Guillen puts him out there. That certainly doesn't apply to me alone, Tiger. And since the Admin told me to, I did. You gotta admit, the only reason he made the roster is because they couldnt find anyone else. The guy is a decent pitcher, but he is still behind Polite, Cotts, BMAC, Jenks and Thornton out of the pen.
  5. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 01:09 PM) BMAC's pitch progression 90 fastball 77 curve 77 curve 92 Fastball 77 change nasty this is what he threw to IROD. Tell me thats easy to locate.
  6. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 01:11 PM) thats surprising Garcia hitting 96.... sure the radar gun wasnt a couple mph fast. CBS sportsline had his around 94-96 mph on fastball. Even dipping to 78 on curves.
  7. Mac is flat out nasty out of the pen. It takes at bats to get used to that curve and that change.
  8. QUOTE(Misplaced_Sox @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 01:09 PM) Can anybody tell how Garcia pitched? Did he have more mph on that fastball... did he look good. I like the results so far that Detroit Lineup is stacked PS Detroit TV play by play people or so very boring I really appreciate DJ and HAwk now Touched 96 consistantly Nice breaking ball. Gave up a few hard hits. Looked better, not great.
  9. BMAC's pitch progression 90 fastball 77 curve 77 curve 92 Fastball 77 change nasty
  10. In fact, if we see a Loogy in this series (not likely) it will be Thornton
  11. QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 01:06 PM) What is a 30-30? 30 hr's 30 Sb's
  12. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 01:05 PM) Sorry, this ain't little league, buddy. We are playing for wins and losses here. You go ahead and test your 20 year old High-A-baller in a one run game against one of the hottest teams in baseball. Brilliant. Or how bout not putting in a LHP against RH batters????
  13. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 01:03 PM) I'm not f***ing kidding you. All pitchers need to be put out there to see what they've got. Logan was fine his first time and gave up a homer to Hafner the second time. I think Logan can manage, Baker, and I think he should be given the chance. Go Paul Konerko! Why put in a lefty against a righthanded lineup? It makes no sense.
  14. BTW, I dont want to hear another word about Jerry Owens. He struggled in ST and continues in AAA currently. He is not an upgrade.
  15. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 12:55 PM) Better players than pods have been sent to AAA to figure stuff out. And it would be more of an extended spring training kind of not permanent. I would seriously doubt that would ever happen. Hes one of the main players on this team. He doesnt need to go to AAA. He needs at bats here.
  16. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 12:53 PM) Im starting to seriously think Pods might be better off spending some time in AAA figuring things out.... only problem is we really have no one to replace him with especially since Mackowiak is struggling a lot. And Owens seems to be slumping too. Hes not going to AAA. Its obvious either he is hurting, or mentally he needs some rest. Hes a big leaguer, he will figure it out.
  17. SP Comparison Garcia 6 IP 5 hits 3 ER 2 BB 5k Bonderman 7 IP 6H 4ER 2BB 8K
  18. Odds are Bonderman is out as well. 101 pitches for him.
  19. QUOTE(POPPY_HIDALGO @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 12:47 PM) He's not ready to be stuck out there in a spot like this. This game is a MUST for the sox today. The kid is the wrong way to go. Once again Hes probably the best pitcher in the pen.
