Thats the Mark you love. A pitcher who goes out and makes sure he stops the streak. Great outing and good defense. Jenks looked great as well other than the wind aided Hr by Sanders. Time for Freddy to follow suit.

This dumbass thread needs to be closed. Dam is an asshat for even starting it.

Sox vs. Kansas City, 4/08/06, Vazquez vs. Bautista

QUOTE(Whitewashed in '05 @ Apr 8, 2006 -> 03:11 PM) Well maybe if our bullpen didn't SUCK so bad we would win more games. How did the bullpen suck today? Sweeney lifted a bailout swing on a nice slider out of the park. They looked pretty good today IMO. -

this is why baseball is so frustrating. Without this horrible wind, we would be winning be several runs. But instead we are losing to one of the worst teams in the game. -

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 08:30 PM) Im not saying the season is over or its time to panic or anything. But ive never been more disgusted from a baseball game since the 03-04 season. First time Ive turned a game off b4 its over in a LONG time. If this doesnt show that last years team played above their heads, I dont know what does. Our pitching the last 3 games has been below average. -

Last year it took us 20 games until our first 3 game losing streak, this year 4 games. -

I think Garland pitched well early, but gave up some rockets. I also think that Widger has called a pretty s***ty game. This should be a reality check for anyone who thought we were going to dominate like last year. That was a once in a lifetime start. -
QUOTE(Soxy @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 03:38 PM) How if you have a video tape showing the rape? It happens. Even if they are guilty as sin they won't get convicted. Ummm when was that? Because if you are talking about the recent case, obviously after viewing the tape, it wasnt a rape.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 02:15 PM) I guess we will find out won't we? But of course if she did go back in there totally on her own will, it's her fault if she was raped. Who even said that? But how many times do you leave a terrible situation, then go back to it? Come on.

Last years formula: pitching and defense This years: No pitching no defense -
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 01:36 PM) Agreed, the "rich white college students" will always beat the "dumb ass black girl stripper" in court. That's America for you, however if the DNA comes out like the DA seems to think it will, there will be a trial which will do a lot of damage to Duke's rep, regardless of how it ends up. Great race reference. If the party was so degrading, why did she go back into the house?

QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 01:44 PM) The few times that I've been to the Cell, yes, and who are you to tell me what I can or cannot put on my food? Just wondering dude. I find sometimes that its almost unnecessary to put anything on the polish with onions, and I prefer mustard over anything else, but thats interesting. I do put ketchup on the steamed dogs that they serve.

QUOTE(Soxy @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 12:52 PM) My bold prediction: No one involved with the rape will be convicted. Actually, I'm not convinced this case will even make it to trial. My bold prediction, it wasnt actually rape.

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Apr 6, 2006 -> 01:59 PM) It has to be a joke I think. Unless this person is that sick and that stupid to send an email like that and mean it. None the less the person is stupid for even putting that in an email. Oh come on, he was making fun off how played up the story was. Poking fun at the DNA samples and the "outrageous" acts that people are so appalled about. He obviously thinks that nothing went on, and that people are overreacting, his email expresses that maybe they should actually do something bad to warrant the attention.

I drove my boss and a co-worker up to the park so they could go, I couldnt believe the amount of weird street freaks that come out for the games. f***ing weirdos.
-
You guys really put ketchup on the grilled dogs and polish at the Cell?
-
The tigers will suck like always. They have some good offense, not much in the pitching dept. Also their defense is lacking IMO.

QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 09:19 AM) Going to McCuddys and the new fans didn't. Being a long time fan entitles them to tickets before someone who recently became a fan. Never throwing a ball back. How someone should eat a hot dog. Ketchup is a condiment, deal with it. Those three are legitamate laws of being a sox fan. Seriously, if you want to throw a homerun ball back, go to wrigley, its not tradition on the south side.

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 6, 2006 -> 01:56 PM) Against lefties? There are plenty of guys stuck at the end of the bench on teams or in AAA ball that could provide another option against LHP. I'm not, by any means, saying I don't want Mackowiak on our bench. Rather, I just don't see the point of having Gload on our current roster. Was there a name of a player in there somewhere? Sammy Sosa? Mack is pretty much one of the top reserve players in the entire league. Wishing for something that doesnt exist is pointless, even in your negative frame of mind.

QUOTE(chisoxdavid @ Apr 6, 2006 -> 03:02 AM) Im getting my tax return money sometime next week, and I am seriously considering scouts seats. I have seen them on stubhub for $250, which is probably the cheapest. Should I get scouts seats or should I just go to Old Country buffet with my gf and get really good seats? I already have tickets to 13 games all in section 527 and want to spoil my self atleast once this season. What would you do. Thanks, oh and any input on scout seats would be great. Dave, Listen, 250 is a lot of cash for one ticket to a game. Last year the scout seats were 100 bucks, and honestly, it was the greatest regular season game I have ever been to. The food is great, the perks are awesome, and its an all around great experience. If the 250 doesnt scare you, scout seats are everything they are cut out to be.

QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Apr 6, 2006 -> 01:29 PM) http://www.nbadraft.net/ This is the best site for mock drafts. They have us taking Tyrus Thomas with the first pick. why do they have that? And then we take another #2? -
QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 6, 2006 -> 09:57 AM) No, I'd rather have option C, which would have been a righty off the bench who can play the outfield and provide some offense against lefties. please enlighten me to who this fantasy player is that could produce better than Mack? Please, I would love to know.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 6, 2006 -> 01:16 PM) He was my utility player, been replaced wit Burrell. I have M. Young at SS. either way I think you got the best assured pay off of the deal.
