  1. Ronaldo just scored one of the easiest goals of the tourney.
  2. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 12:23 PM) Looked like another misplay by Bradley. I know pretty much nothing about soccer but is Bradley suppose to be good and just having bad games or what? He's been in the right position and then has horrible touch.
  3. QUOTE (The Ultimate Champion @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 12:25 PM) Is Robin "good enough" to manage a contending team? No. So much filler in your posts, type them out, delete 50% and then hit post. This is the only point you actually made, and my questions is, when has he had a chance to?
  4. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 12:15 PM) See, this is an argument that isn't winnable, so congratulations, you win. There's always a built-in excuse with the White Sox. If you are looking at a discussion as who wins and who loses, you've already missed the point. Its a rebuild with a s***ty team thats been bitten by the injury bug all over the roster. Blaming the manager is moronic IMO.
  5. Lolwhat. You can't just ignore there was a foul.
  6. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 12:16 PM) Is it just me or could Howard grab that header instead of hitting it back out? Ghana scored. Hopefully they draw and Ghana doesn't score again The punch wAs probably the correct play, especially when it's wet.
  7. Lol Mexican fans cheering for Germany. No jobs for you
  8. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 11:49 AM) Outside of the first 10 minutes the USA played pretty well that half. Bradley continues to struggle, he has been really awful during the World Cup except for the first half against Portugal. He's throwing it because of his dad.
  9. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 11:50 AM) They could play smarter. It's not a winning team, but I don't think they're maximizing what they do have. So how many wins is "maximizing" what they have? Many of their recent losses is due to a s***ty bullpen that lost its 1 and 2 guys.
  10. QUOTE (The Ultimate Champion @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 11:43 AM) When the guy gets through the 8th on like 7 pitches of which 6 are strikes and the hitters are completely f***ed mentally and are behind the fastball and in front of the change you don't need to go to your closer. I love the shift stuff, that's the best. Pay waaaaaaaay too much attention to what is happening on the IF but let your s*** corner OFs play shallow. I'd like to put Robin on a double decker plane, Robin and a bunch of Alexei-looking stick people in the upper portion in first class and a bunch of Biiiig BERTHA!! plumpers in the lower deck. Then let's do the same thing, shift all the plumpers in the lower deck to one side of the plane and let the Alexei stick people stay exactly where they are. When the plane tips over maybe he'll understand how stupid it is to focus all his energy on half the defensive setup and none on the other, but then again, maybe that little raisin of a brain in his skull, upon flipping over, will clink against the top of his skull and give him a new idea for once. God this guy is bad. FIRE HIM NOW!!! Trade for Gardenhire also, even though I know it can't/won't happen. I luuuuuuv Ron Gardenhire. You'd hate Gardenhire with this roster as well, but great long form explanation on literally nothing at all.
  11. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 11:42 AM) I think defining a bad baseball manager is like defining pornography....I can't define it in words, but I know it when I see it. Robin Ventura is a terrible manager. It's just going to take time to work itself out...like a few years. SO you agree this roster could be producing better results?
  12. He's playing well in his own zone but atrocious in goal scoring opportunities. What a bad touch.
  13. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 11:34 AM) Bradley keeps giving the ball away. They have to make the correct runs as well. Pretty physical game with no calls.
  14. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 11:19 AM) So, this is what a good soccer team looks like, huh? They have their flaws but setting up offensive pressure isnt one of them.
  15. LOLWhat, every ref at every level knows what advantage is.
  16. Fun fact, Neighbors is called Bad Neighbors in every other country
  17. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 10:41 AM) But it's not...simply because the majority of the talent's going to have to come from other organizations, it's nothing like what the Cubs are doing. They're telling fans to wait for 5-6 years (this is year 4 and they won't even bring up Kris until June, 2015) for Bryant, Baez, Rizzo, Castro, Soler and Almora to take the National League Central by storm. It's a restructing of the roster, but it's still more of a "win now" mode due to the presence already of Sale/Abreu/Quintana...if it was a true rebuild, they'd start completely over instead of having those three building blocks all in their primes. And they would have waited pulling the trigger on someone like Tanaka because they wouldn't want to waste the best 2-3 years of his big league career on non-contending/rebuilding/restructuring teams. Yes it is. This is a rebuild.
  18. The funny thing is actually having confidence that would do something big. History should dictate that there was no chance of them actually making good moves.
  19. Still amazed that some folks havent figured out this is a rebuild.
