QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 9, 2014 -> 10:02 PM) Dale Tallon drafted Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, and Duncan Keith, among others. He is neither the current coach nor the current GM. Those are, easily, the three best players on the team and three of the best players on the planet. You make it sound so easy. Maybe I was wrong. Of course keeping them, remaking the team around them after a cup to win another would probably take at least a little skill. Half the arm chair GMs wanted Kane gone a couple of years ago. So who knows.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 9, 2014 -> 09:59 PM) Wow. This post happened. Oh yeah. So he's not?
-
He can't even locate the puck.
-
Jesus Crawford.
-
Now they are just laying on the stick during the face off. Gotta adjust and jump in.
-
We are so lazy.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 9, 2014 -> 09:25 PM) Bears 3rd round pick #82..............Will Sutton DT Awesome pick.
-
Once the Wild dedicated themselves to holding sticks in front of the net we've lost all redirect ability and no second shots.
-
These players look lazy as hell.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 9, 2014 -> 08:30 PM) Rock - can Mewhort play center at all? Yup. Plays every position on the line. Was LT, guard and center at OSU, recruited as an all American center in HS.
-
Great pick by Pats.
-
Btw. Is there anything more perfect than cincy picking Hill? It's like they are attracted to arrest records.
-
Hyde to niners and Mewhort to colts. Love it.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 9, 2014 -> 04:09 PM) Speaking Friday, Bears GM Phil Emery confirmed that Peanut Tillman will remain at cornerback this season, and not be moved to safety. The Bears used the No. 14 pick on CB Kyle Fuller, but he'll start out in the slot, leaving Tillman and Tim Jennings on the outside. Now 33, Tillman struggled mightily as he played through injury in 2013. The Bears may rethink their stance on Tillman as a corner if he gets off to a slow start this season. Per Rotoworld He'll be hurt by the 3rd game anyway.

Official Recruiting Thread II

Its going to be a battle for him, we have Mitchell and Grandstaff all over him. -
QUOTE (GoSox05 @ May 9, 2014 -> 11:17 AM) Cleveland still has 7 picks, so they could take one. They could take Hyde in the 2nd round or someone like Andre Williams or Charles Sims in the 3rd or 4th. Is there really that big a difference between those backs? The Browns sold 1,500 season tickets last night, picking a back from OSU wouldnt hurt the momentum.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 9, 2014 -> 11:02 AM) First of all, what are they going to do, speak against it? Second, it doesn't mean the line juggling is for the better. We've seen that. Sometimes, this team absolutely does win despite the coach and GM and the position they've put them in. But the coach and GM are largely responsible for the success of the team and franchise.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ May 9, 2014 -> 11:07 AM) 3rd round maybe. I don't see too many going in round 2. My family is largely browns fans and they want Carlos Hyde real bad at the next pick.
-
QUOTE (GoSox05 @ May 9, 2014 -> 11:04 AM) I bet there is a run on WR in the 2nd round. Marqise Lee Cody Latimer Allen Robinson Donte Moncrief Jordan Matthews Im wondering when the RB's will start getting gobbled up.

QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ May 9, 2014 -> 10:46 AM) I would be thrilled with one of those 3. Of course, last time I was thrilled with a Bears' top pick was Carimi. This is why my input is rightly confined to message boards. Not even "experts" are experts. Nobody knows what will happen with any of these players. The #1 pick has some of the biggest question marks in the entire draft.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 9, 2014 -> 10:19 AM) Get your head out of the sand. Don't be that blind and act like Q can do no wrong. Plenty of mistakes through the years. Winning a Cup doesn't make you protected from criticism. Criticism is one thing saying they win in spite of him is another. On top of that the players have spoken out in favor of his line juggling.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 9, 2014 -> 10:16 AM) What is the knock on Hageman, motor? Because the guy is a giant, isnt he? Yes. Nix and Jernigan would be good options as well.
-
QUOTE (bmags @ May 9, 2014 -> 10:25 AM) okay. Despite clear indications that he is a versatile player I will concede that he is not at all a versatile player. If that was your point all along it wasn't even close to clear.
-
QUOTE (bmags @ May 9, 2014 -> 09:28 AM) From Fuller: "“Coming in, I like feel they know I can play corner or nickel; possibility of safety, whatever it is. I’m a versatile player," Fuller said. "I know they’ll put me in the best situation for myself and the team."" I'm not crazy, this was talked about a lot last night. So now you are referring to the Bears plans and not scouts? Overwhelmingly scouts reports are that he is going to be a starting corner in the NFL. Any talk of safety is because the Bears have a need there and people assume they would move him to a hole. Safeties are much easier to find than starting corners and I think they will find one.
