2012-2013 Official NHL thread

He deserved it. He was being attacked all game long and broke through. I loved hearing the creative trash talk he was getting like "ill be here all night" -
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 03:04 PM) OBERON true story, I went to pick up beer for the game last night. I was all "I'm gonna get something different than a 6-pack of Oberon." So I got a 12 pack of Oberon That sounds delicious. Maybe after the 10 coors lights i have at softball.

QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 19, 2013 -> 09:13 PM) Irritates me that the NHL is so worried about its image that they won't comment on any of these soft calls/no calls The interference on Crawford was ridiculous. marshand just slashes his stick out of his hands while standing in the crease. -

2 horrible soft penalties lead to Boston goals. This one was also goalie interference as his stick was slashed. Pathetic -

QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 19, 2013 -> 03:58 PM) This is perfect, pretty much how I would have lined them up. To me, Bickell isn't a real first-liner but pairs up with those two really well. And Handzus is really a 4th liner, but hey its what we have. -

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 18, 2013 -> 12:53 PM) Anything new coming out on the radio waves out there in regards to Hossa? I heard rumors of broken bone, possibly foot. Not sure how they got that info. -

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 18, 2013 -> 11:18 AM) For you "real" Blackhawk fans, at what point does Coach Q start to get heat for their atrocious power play numbers? 1 shot in 5 power plays. It's been like that for most of the season but it's been especially bad in the playoffs. I'd prefer they commit a penalty and go 4-4 instead of trying 5-4. Generally an assistant has quite a bit of responsibility for the PP, so I dont personally put a ton of heat on him. I mean we are in the SCF after all. -

We looked hesitant at times, almost confused last night. There was a moment where Toews and Rozi both were standing stationary over the puck in our own zone just waiting for a Bruin player to come in and hit them. We are a puck possession, puck movement team that at times seems to be giving up the puck and then standing still. -
QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jun 17, 2013 -> 09:38 AM) Man of Steel was brilliant. Christopher Nolan should be in charge of everything DC movie related forever. Also the score for this movie done by Hans Zimmer was also great. You seem to be one of the only people who hold this opinion from what i've seen.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 6, 2013 -> 03:37 PM) I started a wonderfully different book last night. "Man in the Empty Suit". I'm flying through it. It's all about this guy who can time travel and every year he goes to the same spot to celebrate his birthday - and it's basically a convention of himselves at different ages. So every year he is seeing the party from a new perspective. All the sudden one of the years gets murdered at the party. Insane. Totally different. Very excited to finish it. Wait, what. That sounds awesome.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 17, 2013 -> 05:05 AM) I'm not saying this about anyone on here, but I know hockey fans that are so protective of their sport. I don't get it. Wouldn't you want new fans? I can watch and pull for the Hawks since I live in Chicago and hope they win, despite not really liking hockey. They are helping my hood make TONS of money right now, its good for the city and the team. Since the beginning of time fans have liked good teams, Boston included. Every single Patriot fan is bandwagon. -
How great is it to be the team that faces the Heat in the finals. No matter who you are 90% of the world is rooting for you.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 13, 2013 -> 10:59 AM) I feel asleep at 11:45 and missed the winning goal Not as bad as the guy who extended his DVR 2 hours and the game went 6 seconds longer than his recording. -

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 13, 2013 -> 12:31 AM) Claude Julien, "Shaw is an agitator and he embellishes a lot" LMAO, this from the coach who embraces Marchand. . He loves to say that word. Pretty ironic considering his team could have won the game but his player decided to take a dive in front of the net instead. -
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 12, 2013 -> 04:27 PM) Some do, including Kuchar and Snedeker (http://golfweek.com/news/2013/feb/11/shaft-month-graphite-gains-momentum-irons/). I think the main thing is you can't feel the impact as much, and professionals use that to gauge how we'll they're striking the ball. I've tried a couple of graphite irons and I actually liked not feeling the contact as much. But it could be my s***ty shafts on 15 year old clubs. My ping's have a rubber plug inside the shaft that deadens sting on off-center hits. Its phenomenal.
