QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 7, 2013 -> 04:06 PM) Have a talk with her about how you are committed but don't feel it's necessary to make it "official" by getting a ring/going through a ceremony. When she's good and emotional after that talk, whip it out. BAM. Perfect proposal. The ring or....

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 7, 2013 -> 02:19 PM) Well, just paid for the ring...should be ready next week sometime...now that we've closed on the house and have an idea of what we're looking at as far as renovations/expenses, I figured I may as well get it paid for... Good luck, dont get nervous, she'll be happy regardless of how it happens.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 7, 2013 -> 02:21 PM) http://espn.go.com/chicago/nba/story/_/id/...rage-played-90s I agree with about 90% of this. I'd only disagree that Lebron would be "average" in a more physical 90's league. Dude gets mauled going to the rim and still can finish. I don't think the physical play would have bothered him. Lebron is kind of a little b**** at times but there is no way he would be average. He would be an excellent, elite level player right in the conversation with the greats of the time.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 7, 2013 -> 12:18 PM) I'm not giving you props for saying he was good in the regular season when he was horrific. I think Horrific is a gross exaggeration. He was serviceable while Bolland was out and has been a contributor in the playoffs. -

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jun 7, 2013 -> 12:04 PM) People are going to freak out when the Hawks let Bickell sign with someone else in the off season. Just like when they traded Byfuglien. Yep as well as Stalberg. We have some young guns that I think will be good fill ins for who we are losing. -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 7, 2013 -> 11:26 AM) Are we talking pre or post Byfuglien massive weight gain and emotional issues? They're both great stories. The biggest thing that came from last night was the pairing of Toews and Kane and the instant revival of KANERRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrr. Keep Hoss with his countryman (I think it's time Krush and I both give Handzus props for how much he has stepped up in the playoffs) and enjoy this thing. Bickell - Toews - Kane Sharp - Handzus - Hossa are your top two pairings moving forward. Mmm hmm. Also props for Bolland knocking out Richards of course. -
QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jun 7, 2013 -> 10:23 AM) You're right, that's a big reason, I just still hate it. It's still not going to have a window regardless of finishing the wall. Agreed with walls over barriers. Me too. I must have looked at 40 places over here before I walked into mine and literally said "sold".

QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Jun 7, 2013 -> 10:17 AM) Well, I'm mainly talking about the playoff versions of each, since both were so key in their respective conference finals. To me, Buff's main attribute was his size and his grit around the net. Bicks seems to match all of that, plus adds that sweet wrister. Buff was tougher to goalies IMO and had a ridiculous slap shot and probably more speed. I think Bick will make a huge payday in the offseason but will ultimately disappoint his future team. -
QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jun 6, 2013 -> 10:44 AM) I'll never understand places that have walls that end before the ceiling. As a west looper you know why, it's usually because those rooms dont have windows. It was 100% the reason why i didnt buy most of the places I looked at when I moved over here, I NEED walls not "barriers".

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jun 7, 2013 -> 01:23 AM) I don't and won't watch GoT, but I just watched that Red Wedding scene that nerds are freaking out about. I don't know who any of those people are, but that was pretty incredible if they were all main characters. Well, in the book there are alot of main characters as each chapter is written from a POV of a different one. But overall they were kind of your "good side" main people. It was just as shocking reading it.

QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Jun 7, 2013 -> 09:39 AM) I completely agree, except BIG BAD BICK has more skills. He brings the big presence in front of the net we've been missing since Buff's departure, and has turned out to be an upgrade. Eh, not sure I completely agree with that. He's been very good in the playoffs, but IMO I still take Buff if given the choice. -

Boston is a very dangerous playoff team because they have really good goaltending right now, a physical point D man in Chara and good clutch scorers. They are tough to beat, even without starting Thomas Vokoun in goal. -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 6, 2013 -> 04:37 PM) I don't see why he wouldn't based on a few playoff games that have gone the Bruins' way. The Penguins are still the much better team. Sometimes, the much better team loses. Better team with much worse goaltending. -
I saw Strasburg has shoulder soreness as well.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 6, 2013 -> 03:28 PM) I saw Rock mention that he bought a new Jeep recently, and I actually purchased a new car recently too, and then I realized that we don't have a good place to talk about this kind of thing. Anyways, about 2 months ago, I invested in a 2013 Dodge Dart. I actually got the "weakest" of the 3 generic models (2.0L, which is about 185 HP; the 1.4L comes with a turbo, so it's HP is the same but with more torque, and the 2.4L is obviously faster), but you can pretty much customize them any way you want if you're willing to spend a little bit. I didn't want to spend much more than sticker price ($21,500), so I put $3,500 down and got a 2.9% APR over 6 years. It's something I can afford at any given time and once I get some money saved up, I'll start making overpayments off with the intention of having it paid off in 5 years (or fewer). Got it in "Header Orange" and it just sticks out amongst all the cars. I love it. First on the To Do list with it is to get the windows tinted with the second being getting the rims painted glossy black. Third, at some point down the road, is to get a turbo installed. Just got my front windows tinted today to match the rest. Also plasti-dipping some of the emblems this weekend.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 5, 2013 -> 09:45 AM) Funny that it made you shoot better, definitely makes me shoot much worse. I just about shot one over the backboard the first time I grabbed one of those. There is a reason there are different rules for women in most sports. Even rec softball there are rules about how many players you can put into the infield. -
Oh man I get that pain sometimes after playing too much golf, it kills.
